QUOTE(akkihiko @ Feb 27 2009, 04:13 AM)
y not nice
is it too thick n make the screen less responsive or
the IS SP attract dust?
*
IS SP's surface doesn't look smooth on the tube screen. But on the back cover, it look nice. I successfully applied the SP but with some dust under it sad.gif (can be ignore).

The problem with IS is not the quality but the installation. If you manage to install it properly, it will good on your phone. But as far as scratch proof claim, it is true. No scratch so far. For picture can visit my blog.

Don't know where got the service to install it.

IS cover most of the part, except buttons, camera cover, stylus and the edge of front cover. Personally, I hate the front cover design with the edge open to scratch.

Actually I almost want to cry for the RM60 wasted I when did the installation. I got fed up after lots of bubble under the SP and I just left them.

In the first picture you can see big bubble near the button and lots other bubble scatted under SP (not in picture). After a while all the bubble gone, what left is the dust smile.gif ....

Anyone own Capdase or Pdair leather casing? Mind to give some opinion. I'm searching for leather casing with belt clip now.

Hard to choose as can't see in real life.

not using it since I love performance more than eye candy, eventhough the tube is considered fast for a symbian phone, I still want it to be faster  tongue.gif

I use slideshow for wallpaper. Ever 30 min, change wallpaper. When on the theme effect, I always get problem to go menu screen. Only saw the button but not all the icon. So I turn off the theme effect.

tube sometimes become gila suddenly......mine while playing the song suddenly no sound..then memory card corrupted..then suddenly restart itself and the best part battery indicator from full 7 bars become 3 bars...waaaaaa....then switch off the phone remove memory card and insert it back, switch it on ok back to normal but battery indicator left 3 bars oni from 7 bars....
*
Happen to me once when I disconnect in the middle of charging and charge again. The bar show full bar, then 3 bars, then full bar again. But I think because I open video and close. So the bar reduce to 2 when I open, and full when close again.

QUOTE(5zigen @ Feb 27 2009, 07:52 PM)

From my experience so far, only those non-brand/cap-ayam screen protectors do not scratch at all. The best would be those RM5 ones. Seriously using many years on my touchscreen phones last time and no scratch. Now also using non-brand one for 5800. biggrin.gif

I've tried MF and SwitchEasy and Griffin and they all scratch. sweat.gif
*
My free SP also didn't scratch after weeks of use. But it thicker than my IS.

QUOTE(echo.Garden @ Feb 27 2009, 11:45 PM)
ok.... my suggestion for all tuber(non-professional or not good in handicraft)

RM75 + RM6 = RM81
1st: Leather Case + Cap Ayam Screen Protector (SP) (Bulky)
Protection: *****
Look and Feel: ***
Installation: *****
Durability: ****

RM20~80 (Price varied) + RM6 = RM85 (Approximately)
2nd: Silicon Case + Cap Ayam SP (Not so bulky)
Protection: ****
Look and Feel: ****
Installation: ****
Durability: ****

those that u think u're good in handicraft

RM80 + RM6 = RM86
1st: Invisible Shield + Cap Ayam SP (Not bulky)
Protection: ****
Look and Feel: *****
Installation: **
Durability: ****

RM80= RM80
2nd: Full Body Invisible Shield (if u're looking for maximum protection)
Protection: *****
Look and Feel: ****
Installation: * (Extremely hard)
Durability: ***** (Cuz got lifetime warranty)

RM80 + RM6 + RM75 = RM161 (lol i got this setting =x)
3rd: Invisible Shield + Cap Ayam SP + Silicon Case/Leather Case
Protection: ******
Look and Feel: ***
Installation: *
Durability: *****
*
Nicely put. I agree.

I expect the SP will be smooth but sadly no. Almost cry after finish installed IS with all the bubbles and dust. But after few weeks, I'm getting use to the screen and everything fine.

Now looking for good leather case to carry the tube.

QUOTE(hvaly @ Feb 27 2009, 11:50 PM)
but i think actually a SP is more than enough

i prefer the solid feel of hand holding tube instead of holding the leather case feel
so my hp never buy what silicon case/ invisible shield / transparent cover ...

by the time ur phone tear off, just change it with new casing/ new phone .. that is usually 1 year ++  wub.gif

why want to cover your phone and make it dull compared with the naked one ?  wub.gif
*
I don't like my phone get scratch all around it. For me, it will take only a couple of months to get scratch. My lovely daughter like to play with my phone and always misplace it. So, better sacrifice some look than get scratch. For leather case, hate to reach pocket everytime someone call.

Like you, I also like holding without any cover or protector. But need to sacrifice something to prolonged the phone life. Planning to stick at least 1.5 years.

QUOTE(Kytz @ Feb 28 2009, 12:08 AM)
yea nowadays i find myself growing my fingernails long enough to use as a stylus
too lazy to take the stylus out or use the plectrum

I also keep a bit of my fingernail. With my big (fat) thumb, hard to press without touching other button.
