any recommendations on the good allies to keep?

I always prefer Tali in ME1 due to her tech abilities. Is she as good in ME2?

Subject Zero got good skills or not?

Err depends on your class. ME2 class layout is very flexible, but for smooth combat your party should have:

1. crowd control (throw, pull, slam, cyro, concussive) preferably one per member for combos
2. warp (regen)
3. incinerate (armor)
4. overload (shield)

For example if you fight an elite enemy, normally an overload-incinerate-pull-warp combo will toast the fella.

I am using Engineer. Any good Bio/Tech allies to recommend?

I am only at Omega, and I find my party a bit suck. (miranda keeps dying and jacob didn't seem to use his power so often)

There's a future DLC coming out called the Hammerhead Hover Tank. Hopefully it's a free incentive and not monetized

She has Overload, good for shields(Archangel has that skill too), replace Jacob with Mordin once you get Mordin.

played a little while, i was disappointed to learn that the armor personalization is only for the N7 armor, while other armors such as terminus, blood dragon and collector armor cant be customized at all, i like inferno armor (the looks) but it's not available for me...only N7 have the option of no helmet, so others you basically have to stick to the default...

Just wondering is there an in-game UI to download those DLCs like DA:O? in the main menu, i have the cerberus UI which display the latest news but cant click anything else...i click on the "New content available" the game minimized and bring my browser to the page to download all the DLCs that i'm entitled to...i download and install all the DLCs separately, which i found kinda awkward, as i though you can do all that in-game with the cerberus network rather than using the browser method...not entirely bad, as i dont have to re-download the DLC later...perhaps i need venture further as i just finish the 1st mission (escape the station thingy)...

i still like the game though, those small things are going to stop me from playing it...

Anyone knows what happens when two members activate different party-wide ammo abilities?

Say Jack uses Warp party ammo and I use Incinerate party ammo.

Hmm just got my CE... quite disappointed that the manual is in B&W... That's very disappointing for a RM209 package.

Fallout 3 - open world, some rpg elements and guns. Storyline is quite retarded but the sidequests are fun and the atmosphere is there. Plus, mods make everything better. Characters are a bit bland and flat. Dialogue is short and not always well written plus they reuse the voice actors a lot but not as much as Oblivion.

Dragon Age : Origins - linear (only one way to get somewhere more or less), a bit cliche but epic story. It is a traditional rpg of sorts, not really also, and it has long dialogue scenes with lots of dialogue which is well written. The characters are well fleshed out and sometimes you will want to smack them. The voice actors are obviously reused once or twice but other times they make an effort to change their voices.

Mass Effect 1 and 2 - linear also, not as much rpg in 1 and even less in 2 but I feel that is a good thing. It lets you focus on the action instead of omni-gelling 10 items slowly. I wouldn't call that an rpg element. It has guns and combat is a bit Gears of Wars like especially in 2 with the reworked cover system. The story is 1 is quite epic and the twist is good while not jaw dropping like Knights of the Old Republic. I haven't finished 2 yet. The characters are very well done and the voice acting is good (the lip synching seems to have gotten worse in 2 or maybe it's just me).

There is more but all that I can think of at the moment. For me I like all of them.

errrr ... jack who ? lol i just started the game yesterday night ! i only reached the first battle area where all the mechs gone crazy ...

btw anyone playing on insanity mode?!?!? I am on veteran and its pretty intense

Is the difficulty fixed or varies with level? I'm trying Insanity and the mechs are so damn hard to kill off! They took my shield in 1~2 hits as well.
