I don't think its worth mentioning twice.

bonus content seems underwhelming for me. Don't really need the extra clutter of an extra box which doesnt fit nicely into my rows of game dvd boxes.

I imagine there will be an intergalactic space vendor selling the extra bonus content ala DA:O

ah ok..im cursing at everything right now,the pirated cd is not working, mthe steam version stil got 95% to go..argh..

is there anyone that can share a file called mapsNOR.rar?
*
Since you have installed the pirated ME, onto your hdd - once steam has created your local cache on your pc in the steamapps folder, you should be able to copy the pirated folder into your steamapps folder (please don't copy the crack file). Steam will then check your files (you may have to verify the integrity of the files) and just download your missing files and any other files that need to be updated. I've used that method before when i didn't want to wait 3 days to dl a legit copy on steam or for changing a retail copy to steam.

*
Glad it worked for you but one thing i forgot to mention (which just came to mind) was to uninstall the pirated copy first so that you don't get any registry conflict. If it works though then I won't worry too much about it. the proper instructions are

steam automatically updates games for you. If it's at 100% then you should have the gamefiles for 1.02.

Edit: not sure how steam handles dlc so you'll just have to mess around with the game yourself

I'll be getting ME through retail since I feel sorry for TSB.

Besides, retail for standard edition is far cheaper than on steam and retail for CE is at least the same price as steam but with arguably more "value".

I hope this thread does not degenerate into a thread about free t-shirts and posters like the DA:O one.

Hmm just got my CE... quite disappointed that the manual is in B&W... That's very disappointing for a RM209 package.

is it me or is it the graphics in me2 superior than dao?
*
One thing about the graphics that really annoys me in ME2 is that a lot of the pre-rendered cutscenes don't seem to be in HD with quite a lot of colour banding.

bah, my PC has gone fail on me...after playing for around 1-2 hours on wednesday night, yesterday turn on only, got some beeping sounds (seem like 1 long 2 short) been trying to find out what's wrong but dont have proper equipment to test...suspecting either motherboard or GC...taking down to LYN to let the technical people with proper equipments to have a look at it... cry.gif

if RMA also going to take forever as CNY is just around the corner...double  cry.gif  cry.gif

some of you even finish it...
*
you can probably self diagnose that error.. if you still have your motherboard manual, those beeps are called POST errors, and the manual should usually tell you what those beeps mean. If you've lost your manual you can google for POST errors. Once you've diagnosed the problem it's just the simple problem of replacing the mobo, gc or memory..

good luck smile.gif

Nice screenshot. That piece of scenery is far far more spectacular than anything star trek had to offer.

Lol.... just so you know, according to the mass effect timeline in mass effect:wikia
shepard is actually younger than mirinda, mirinda is born about 4 years earlier than shepard.... hmm.gif

A 4 year age difference does not make Miri a milf....unless you're 12 or something.

Thanks for the history lesson there dude. Just go take a look at the issues surrounding the pirated copy of Batman Arkham Asylum then see if your statement still holds true.

Also, just because someone posts some issues in the Bioware forum, doesn't necessarily mean ori users.
*
True that, unfortunately he was just asking for some help with some crashes when someone just decided to accuse him of being a pirated user. Whether he is or not is really his own business (unless ofc he is asking about the batman:AA anti piracy glitches - then he probably deserves all the abuse he can get). This thread is not supposed to be for anti-piracy advocacy.

My legit copy of ME2 also suffers from the getting stuck on objects bug. It's game breaking for me which means i have to save often which kinda breaks the immersion of the game and adds to the frustration. Still managed to complete the game with my adept-paragon-SHEpard though.

edit: this page is ridiculous - someone should create a ME2 spoiler thread.

Mass Effect 2 patch released:
http://www.shacknews.com/onearticle.x/62462

I am wondering whether I should get the regular Mass Effect 2 or the Limited Edition.
*
I'd say apart from the collector's rifle - there's nothing of real interest in the collectors edition. Collector's armor is quickly superseded by the armore upgrades you pick uo. Art book takes about 2 minutes to leave through. If i'm not mistaken, the dlc you get access to is exactly the same whether you get the normal or the CE. I also must admit i've not looked at the bonus dvd since i'm too busy gaming rather than messing around with the promo gear. Am i missing anything out? Only got it cause i had like RM50 worth of unused points at tsb and i didn't know what to do with it.

My non-canon wrex is now some sort of super wise leader of the krogan. I never saw that coming.
