as i know, mass effect was never bout RPG (but i could be wrong)...it more towards action-oriented...i read from kotaku that you dont even have to worry bout what your companions are wearing for armor, weapons, it's more on the main character...

Archaven is kinda right, the game so far feels like Gears of War with dumber AI. I really don't think it is a RPG anymore, more of a squad shooter with many mini games and and epic story. Having said that, I don't buy a game for what genre it represents or what roots it came from, I just buy a game because it is fun. Mass Effect 2 is fun, very fun.

QUOTE(H@H@ @ Jan 27 2010, 04:51 PM) This was from the first game as well. From all the early previews, it was very obvious that the game would be more action oriented than the first... Which is good because it was a bit here and there. I welcome this change as Mass Effect's combat-esque RPG elements weren't anything to shout home about I did not experienced that in ME1 at all.. How much of the change in the skills specialization in ME2 now? Do we have lesser skills? We still need to pump points in the skill right? I heard you cant press F1/F2/F3 to change weapon but only through mouse wheel? Can this be changed in an ini file?

No way to hide your helmet while in conversation like in Dragon Age: QUOTE Christina Norman wrote...
I can understand the desire to run around in collector armor with the 'helmet' off but that isn't the way they were designed in terms of appearance or in terms of art assets. To state it simply the armor is a single piece.
We do have a system for armor segments, and you can use that to construct a custom look for Shepard, but armor has to be designed artistically and otherwise for this system. To put it another way - the collector armor wouldn't look like the collector armor if we built it using the segmented armor system. We're able to get the awesome look because it's a single armor piece. This is not a bug, so it can't be "patched" to change the behavior. This kind of make me sad.. We are in 2010 and seems to me the engine they are using is what engine?! Whole armor as in 1 piece and no way to change it Guess i'll should enjoy it for the story if i plan on buying the game and having less expectation on the game. In my opinion don't think they (Bioware) really dumb down the RPG elements,
First of all, what Bioware is trying to do is improve the game pace. Plus, i'm now more happier they managed to removed that inventory for weapon upgrade stuff from ME1. Everytime i gathered all the ammos from ME1, its seem too overwhelm for me to browse through all the items like e.g ammos I,II,III,IV.

I'll offer my opinion once I've played a wink of the game. I've been emailing tsb back and forth for a Terminus armor and Blackstorm code since mine is missing. I got a new one promptly and am very grateful. This works like a charm.

Actually that just sounds like you can't hide the helmet while using the Collector armour, not the others.

What's the Bioware canon for ME1? Other than: » Click to show Spoiler - click again to hide... « - Human council - Wrex died - Kaidan died - And the obvious Soldier/Earthborn/Survivor

Hmm.. guess maybe they don't have enough time and the CE armor was probably a last minute decision. If so, i think i can live with that. Someone proposed, you can change your outfit when not in battle. I'm probabaly going to do.

Check your receipt, they told me it's a blue paper attached to it. Otherwise go to www.tsb.com.my then the Contact Us page. Unfortunately they close in 10 mins and they took an hour to resolve my missing code problem

Hmm? I didn't get any blue receipt. Is it a pre-order bonus?
I just bought my copy CE from a shop in subang, all sealed up. Only get the cerberus card and some special Collection armor.
And my god, its a 2 disc game!!!

Been playing for 2 hours now. Honestly, the start of ME1 was better and way more epic.
However I can see that ME2 is also more diverse in many things that ME1 restricted.
Oh and pretty much nearly all RPG elements are taken out of ME2 (eventhough theres not much of any RPG elements to begin with).
