QUOTE(mekboyz @ Jan 17 2011, 12:30 PM) Hey guys i just finished mass effect. I want to import my save over to ME2, but which file is it. Looking at my loading options the latest one is before the final battle with saren's dead body. How do i obtain a save file at the ending of the game. Also i thought shepard was supposed to die? How come he didnt lol You don't have to extract anything, ME2 will auto-check for the folder of ME1 saves and let you import from there automatically I think Shepard dies if you go the Renegade way, never saw it myself since I always go Parangon

QUOTE(mekboyz @ Jan 17 2011, 12:37 PM) So i dont need to have a save file at the end of the game? I went paragon too. Also managed to have some sexy tiem with liana Bioware sure does love to put romances in their games I asked myself the same thing as you did too but after installing ME2 it just auto-found my saves and gave me choice which to import. I remember it's somewhere in the MyDocuments folder (exact folder depend of your OS obviously) and even when uninstalling ME1 it didnt delete them. So just don't worry and if you do not go manually delete the folder under MyDoc your saves will be there whenever you start on ME2

You can bring your character appearance and the choices you made (love interest, main history choices etc.).
In addition, from the top of my head if your character:
- Had the "rich" achievement from ME1 you get some extra money - Was higher than level 50 you get some extra resource (money + ore), so less time spent mining - Was level 60, you get even more resources than for level 50+
Could be wrong but it was something like that
Then if you finish ME2 and decide to start another time with the same character you get some huge ore bonus in addition to that.
Last time I replayed ME2 I basically didnt have to mine for the Element 0 (or whatever is the rarest resource in ME2, can't remember the name now) which was a really nice thing

QUOTE(kawaii87 @ Mar 19 2011, 03:06 PM) Quick question, is the upgrade ship(ME2) will let my crew survive even more? i found 2 different dialogue when im attacking final mission, before and after upgrading thanix cannon...... Yes, if you don't upgrade you WILL loose people during the ship fights, who dies first is pre-determined too, can't remember the exact order but "squishies" like Mording or Kasumi are the first to die if I remember well

For me I am so glad I killed that winney racist of Ahsley in ME1! Kaidan was an emoboy but he was way less annoying to me Would be glad to have more people from ME2 coming back, Mordin was really good in particular (he was my favorite of the crew actually) Tali is also more or less a given in ME3 also in my opinion, the geek shitstorm if Liara is included but not Tali would be of epic magnitude She was also my romance option in ME2 (I redid ME1 to not have one there to "save it" for Tali too) and she was also pretty funny and cute in ME2, big improvement from ME1 in her lines imo This post has been edited by Gormaz: Apr 8 2011, 04:37 PM

QUOTE(Cheesenium @ Apr 10 2011, 02:52 PM) No way Crysis 2 is better than Mass Effect 2. ME2 is pretty much my GOTY of 2010. Hell, Mordin's song should be nominated for a Grammy Award imo
