It does fine for me. The catch is you have to use the configure option to export ME1 saved games into the ME2 folder, then only the game will detect them.

Ahh... I've already removed my ME1 from my PC sweat.gif

Agreed but the quarians really have to stop trying to bomb the geth to hell and gone. They're going to lose. If anyone's read Ascension, I hope Captain Mal and the Idenna succeed in their quest to find a new homeworld.

How would you like it if you created a toaster, then have the toaster rebel on you, and then kick you out of your own home?

And to add insult to injury, your home happens to be like the worlds' only freezer and you're actually a snowman and you have to roam the world in a portable icebox looking for a new freezer to live in.

It does seem a bit petty (Actually I even asked them to find a new place) but their justifications made sense.

Yeah, I don't really get the whole geth thing. I think Shepard doesn't either during the initial talks with Legion and trying to get his name before EDI butts in.

It makes sense but it has been going on for 300 years. The thing is, the toaster can now talk and communicate like one of us. Honestly, it's hard to justify either way. They are a sapient species now and there are certain dialogue where Legion states they only attacked out of self defense. Qwib-Qwib also says they tried to wipe the geth out, thus the geth rebelled. But then again, the quarians desperately want to go home. The novelty of being a vagabond has worn off a long time ago. But I wonder how many quarians that know what their home world looks like are alive during ME1 and 2 sad.gif .

Based on conversations with Tali in ME1, she describes the Geth as a unified neural network based off each individual Geth robot. Originally this was meant to make them more efficient as they grouped together in larger numbers, but unfortunately, they also developed the ability to become sentient when enough of them came together. They're kinda like a collective, but individual at the same time.

I like how Legion described it when comparing the Geth to the Reapers:
"Reapers are comprised of many subsystems but each Reaper is a nation that stands alone. Geth are comprised of many subsystems but are all united as one instead"

So, the Reapers are like one huge alliance while the Geth are like... Communists.

What are geth hubs then? Those things Legion points out during his loyalty quest.

The problem is the Toaster didn't start the war.

But whose to say that the Toaster would continue to stay quite and be laborers/soldier for the Quarian

I think it just makes them more bitter rather than mellowing out. But I suppose a compromise could be made. It seems that the Reapers are behind most of the major conflicts in the galaxy (They were also behind the Rachni)

Heh, it's like you grabbed a shovel and want to destroy the toaster and it electrocutes you. Self defense.

But will the toaster stay happily toasting bread for you now that it can think for itself?

Wait, I must have missed that one. They were behind the Rachni?

For some reason, the geth are also against diplomacy. I remember Tali saying every ship that goes beyond the Veil is destroyed. I still think Legion as an ambassador will have a better chance of success.

War can always be justified from both sides.

The Quarians mistakenly developed some AI technology (Though legal by council standards) to produce robots
Said robots become sentient
Quarians panic and try to destroy them
Robots go WTF and kick Quarians out
Quarians are all pissy and continue trying to kill robots
Reapers get a hold of some Geth later on and tell them about the awesomeness of robots and attack everyone else

Also, I said hub station as it was the central station for all heretic geth. The central "station" for all Geth would be the Quarian homeworld.

Yeah they were. You'll find out depending on what you did in ME1 wink.gif

You also have to remember that the Council are against AIs and thus are automatically at war with the Geth without even having to say anything.

The Quarians could had release the Geth of their servitude and create a new basic machine to do simple labor work for them. They shouldn't had resort to violence. Therefore, I believe Quarians is also at fault for getting themself kicked out of their homeworld.

The geth becoming sentient wasn't as clear cut as that. The Quarians feared being banished by the Council for dabbling in AI and thus attempted to kill of the threat quick. The machines obviously reacted in self defence and once that had begun (The Geth weren't just robots that were used in some places, but rather as their main labour force in everythin), it was very hard to turn around.

Also, to the Geth, the Quarian homeworld is also theirs, so why should they be the ones to vacate?

Space opera politics isn't as clear cut as it seems to be.

I don't think they ever were. I can't remember ME1 codex and I don't bother reading ME2 codex. Humm...

That's what I had my Shepard do, shove the peace message down their throats but all he got in return was a sarcastic quip from Qwib-Qwib.

The Quarians are considered part of the Citadel systems or whatever its called, but they're not a member of the Council.

I think whatever you did in the past 2 games will determine who will be your ally.

1) The Rachni = Kill/Save
2) Krogan's Balls = Heal/Cut
3) Toaster = Repair/Destroy

Legion is the best character in ME2....He Robot Dance and....'' There is a hole''

Only the Turians, Salarian, Asari & Humans have representative in the Council(depends if the Council was saved or not in ME). The rest including Elcor, Hanar, Volus & etc(if there is any) are only associate members of the Citidel. Associate members gets an embassies in the Citidel to represent their species. ATM, I don't remember anywhere in the game that mentions that Krogan, Drell & Quarians to have any Embassies in the Citidel.

I should read the Codex a bit more... Think of it as what happened to the Batarians; Batarians like slavery, Council does not. Thus, Council bans Batarians. Only for the Quarians it would've been "played with AI".
