This is it with a DSL Down/upstream of 568kpbs (unstable, as said)

What do u mean by 568kbps down/upstream ?

Do u mean, your DSLAM speed is capped at 568kbps DL and 568kbps UL for your 1Mbps package?

i got 95% of DL speed 1024kbps ( DSLAM capped at 1.5Mbps DL)
and 80% of UL speed for 512kbps (DSLAM capped at 512kbps UL)

did you try to do direct connection without splitter and changed the phone cable?

Yeah, I did tried 3 different splitters and a direct connection and I still get the disconnects and the slow speed.

My DSLAM speed is not capped at 568kbps, if you read my previous post, each time I reconnect to DSL, my line speed is always different.
Lowest I got was 117kbps, the highest was 2000kb (but my subscription is capped at 1mb).

Here is a screenshot of the down/upstream on the modem page

Also, I stated in my previous post that I get frequent DSL disconnects(note, DSL not the internet). Its most probably the aging wires :\

ps: how do I check how far is my house from the exchange

This is the speedtest I got when my DSL down/upstream is >1000kb

user posted image

A 100%!
The only problem is that, getting a DSL down/upstream to be >1000kb is a very small chance. This problem is most probably on my side rather than Jaring. Im starting to have frequent disconnects too.

jaring is only providing the adsl services with TM's phone line, TM's dslam, etc. i think those sync problem, phone line quality problem, etc, was a TM problem, but we still have on complain to jaring about it.

Added on February 21, 2009, 12:38 ampersonally i think those sync problem, phone line quality problem, etc, remain when user switch between jaring and streamyx, it's riding on the same last mile connection, unless the provider receive user complain, and replace certain part.

In this case, It's due to the old tel cable in your house.
how long is the house since being developed ?

Try to use shortest cable as possible to connect from tel socket to modem.

how do I check how far is my house from the exchange
Give me your tel so we can check from the system.

Kindly post the part in the router whereby stated your LINE ATTENUATION so that we can see how good your line is.

Mostly at the MODEM STATUS.
