haha .,..,, i am the lucky few Data Unlimited Plan (postpaid RM66). my location is 502.16.8201.72220713 --- site ID from Google Maps. i am in Taman Kelab Ukay ampang selangor. i now is using my new Nokia n 78 and connected to 3.5 G and 4 bar of 7 full bar. speed test is around dl 1mb and up liknk is around 0.4 mb. better then my combo rm60 stramyxxxx ...

Note is Acess Point need to change to anable u to get connect to net, APN as 3gdgnet User Name : not need Password : not need.

strongly recommend only for those Data Unlimited user ... of not the Data Charge issssss DAM HIGH woooooo

well the APN name need to be small word ... NOT CAPITAL LETTER ... APN AS : 3gdgnet. after all, you need to be able to connect on the mobile phone it self first before connect to computer.

note : u need to switch ur phone mode to be Dual Mode (nokia). if fail. off and on phone again.

in my case i in taman kelab ukay 68000 where by is not officail location of 3g coverage. i use my phone scan only 3 to 4(DiGi 3G of cozzzzz) bar which is i suspect spill over coverage from nearby tower, most like is Flamingo College Site.

so my nokia n 78 i swap to WCDMA ONLY mode. and success log into 3G Digi.

for the APN ... i had tried several
1) APN : digiwap (for mobile browse)
2)APN : diginet and 3gdgnet ( connect to PC)

i found out it is when u in EDGE zone u can use only diginet qand digiwap.

while u in 3G zone is only diginet and 3gdgnet.

WAT SO happi is when u online on 3G u may receive and make call and sms in and out
ON EDGE u are LOST connection when u are online ( on EDGE no call nor sms is possible)
i on nokia n78 data unlimited plan using usb cable , windows vista , i get 3.5 G when online

this is wat i find out. it maybe still in tried period and testing currently.

Yes is True all new sign up is all compputerise and all online (LIVE) but some how some of the procese need to be done manually like register form and so on.

also note some dealer may Sum Up ( Kumpulkan) few peice Borang only go and key in or bring it to Digi Center Aka DiGi Branch. . .

in summary ... if u want FAST, Go DiGe Center ... is direct way. coz u go Dealer they also need to pass out ur info or form to Digi Center ...

For those Digi Postpaid user who are having Data Unlimted (RM66) and happen to be in 3G area or close to 3g Coverage. u are in luck, coz now mobile handset user of EDGE may now connect to 3G or 3.5G. just change the APN from Digiwap to 3gdgnet or diginet ... ... ...

only happen this 3 days back.
through thwy are testing the network.
after i disconnect and connect back then is ok No Problem.

that not network id ... those 014/016 are infact is same with our mobie phone number. but for sure lahhh those number is ONLY for DATA aka Broadband ... so no incoming or outgoing call ... also no sms in and out. . .

network id is like 502:16.XXXX.XX.XX for digi
502:12xxxx.XXX for maxis
502:19xxx.xxxx for celcom

if happen to be ur phone is install with Google Maps --- open google map then Option/Help --- then Choose About ... scroll to most bottom u will see the network ID for ur location ... PLS NOTE opening Google Maps is DATA INTENSIVE and if u on pay per use plan better open and see direct close it .....

as i notice for OCS is it not direct u get to use the Line then u be able to register in their OCS. let Digi update ur info first,,, maybe could try after one or two week . . . if still can;t call 016 221 1800 and ask ...

any others complaint or suggestion can log into the OCS and click on the FEEDBACK... write them email. email will be reply within 24 hrs. once they reply u ... u will get sms notice and then u online go OCS and see the reply ...

Effective on Digi Email compalint or suggestion ... 24 Hrs...

if C and M ... u wait lahhhhhhhh and seeeeeeeeeeeeeeee hahahahahahah

there is another compulsary Charge by Gov. RM 10 Stamp Duty which apply for all new Postpaid regardless which Telco u use ...

if that the case. Yes. u can activate and use for few days. then after that can cacel any time when u not use it any more. Digi will charge u PRO-Rated means count by Day.like now RM48 divide 30 day is per day RM1.6. u use for 5 days would be 5xRM1.6= RM8 ....

it is nothing to do with the software u install in the laptop

is the settig of the modem it self.

u disconnect it first, then clikc on option/ settng then manage device or manage network.
when u in 3g Zone, choose UMTS/WCDMA "ONLY" ... don choose WCDMA/UMTS "Prefered"

when choose "ONLY" then always u be connected to 3G or 3.5G only ... never fall back to EDGE.
while "prefered" is device Prefer 3G ...

this is for DIGI INTERNET 3G WITH MODEM

if that ur speed then most likely u on EDGE only...

Get Disconnected. then go to Tool --> Option --> Network -- > on the Network Type Choose WCDMA/UMTS "ONNNNLYYYY" don use the UMTS PREFERED.... coz when PREFERED IS choosen, then some time ur modem will detect EDGE.

certainly i found out it is the same. as i am postpaid main line with data RM66 (old plan). where by i try both 3G and 3.5 G area. i also own a wireless modem. also try with the modem.

wat i found out is Mobile phone seem like to detect signal more good if compare to modem

in this way maybe u use modem coverage would be smaller then u use mobile phone.

i just visited the PC Fair in KLCC and take out the Free modem with RM88 monthly ( use credit card got Discount RM5 per month ) means me only RM83 per month.

let say u use 8 month then u not happi and want to TERMINATE the Acct then u should pay the modem fee which is only RM15 per month and NOT NEED TO PAY The monthly RM 88 any more.

mean (Remaining) 4 month X the RM15 only.

if u with Maxis or Celcom ... 12 month is TRUE Contract and the REMAINLY month is Calculate as normal
in this example if C and M also RM88 ... would come to be RM 88 X the remainly 4 month ...

in short DIGI IS no more Contract in any of it BB Product. ..

i just detected Full Bar 3G Digi at interchange of MRR II at Kg Pasir and Ukay Perdana Traffic junction. this is REAL coverage as it is FULL BAR, not a spill over like many area detected... so i think Taman Melawati will soon be covered ...

if still can;t ...
then i wll set network to 2G only.
the speed on EDGE is sure slower but it work out to be smooth browsing
reason ... coz 3G some time maybe TOOO BZ ...
after 10 to 30 min on EDGE then swap back to 3G to try again ,,,

if all try still can;t Email to Digi. go to OCS and Click FEED BACK on the LEFT. . .

maybe the 8GB is the statastic of 2 or 5 days ago ... only now they send out to u ... those sms maybe send out batch by batch ... so maybe some delay to reach u ... Digi send this direct to the BB acct or to ur normal mobile phone ?
