A notification to those who are using the Aztech HW550-3G HSPA Router, there's a new firmware release (version 201.106.1-037) which has added support for more 3G USB modems. Also it seem to have fix a problem with the previous release. With the old firmware, my router would slow down over extended periods of time (when in HSPA internet mode). I had to reset it every now and then when my I feel the internet speed has deteriorated. Upload speeds are horrible when the router has slowed down.

After deploying this new firmware, the performance is more consistent. Bear in mind that this has nothing to do with recent Digi slowdowns (especially uploading @ certain applications) cause I had my own account (not connected to router) for verification.

Hi Guys, question here.
If i stay in the 28floor height, am i still able to using the digi broadband service?

I live on 20th floor on a high altitude ground, so it may be equivalent to yours. It works well. I always manage to get full bands.
My recommendation is that you should arrange an appointment with digi worker so that they can test the availability at your area.

Thanks for informing that.
I was charged again this month, would call them up.

From their email,

Thank you for your e-mail.

With regards to the above, please note that your account was to receive the discount on the modem, however due to certain unforeseen issues it was not. Kindly do contact the Broadband Team at 016-2993333 for immediate rectification and adjustment. We seek your kind understanding.

I feel like I was deceived for the free modem sweat.gif

speed has been inconsistent since 2010. Sometimes fast, sometimes slow.

I'm considering changing ISP now since wireless broadband is not appropriate for me (I and my bro's usage will easily surpass 10 GB and since they have changed their policy we no longer experience the same speed after 10GB... got throttled down to 10kb/s).

Overall, 7 months with Digi has been a satisfactory one , despite lag spikes in gaming.

already unsubscribed. 10 GB is simply not enough , unless for business men.
