I tried and it was fine but I'd still prefer a wired broadband though. If you don't mind a slightly higher latency then by all means you can go for this.

If you are a DiGi user now, just plug it in to any 3G phones and manually search for networks available, if DiGi 3G is available then it shouldn't be long before your area is covered.

MMORPGs , I used Ragnarok Online (International server) and CabalSEA for testing and it turned out well and acceptable for me.

The map is just for a reference purpose and it isn't updated every single day in my opinion. I've tested at areas which isn't covered based on the map and I'm still able to get 3mbps.

Well I think it is a rip off since if the subscription was done during any promotion period like the launch in One Utama where the modem is only RM25 x 12 months which is RM300 for the full payment, if any downgrade/termination is done then the full payment is RM600. The staffs during the One Utama launch said that if there's any downgrade/termination then the payment required is only RM300. I'm actually quite frustrated with this and this has drop the reputation of DiGi's broadband team (well at least from my point of view).

Perhaps you can consider going for the RM108 package since you were on a Celcom D98 plan before.

If no or minimal download is done, I can barely even hit 3GB just by surfing the web.

Not worth to subscribe to DiGi Broadband just to wait for your area to be covered since you will also be abide to the Fair Usage Policy. Just keep your current one for now and enjoy a true unlimited Internet connection.

Just remember that if you are planning to subscribe it when your area isn't covered, just stick with your DiGi EDGE first as it is better without the Fair Usage Policy.

In reality, there isn't any service which has both affordable price and quality together. From what I see, wireless broadband services are becoming more competitive these days but with the Fair Usage Policy, it is a major setback to most people.

Same here if I were to start multiple downloads simultaneously using FlashGet. As long as there are too many connections being made, there will be a 'traffic jam'.

Long time no updates from DiGi Broadband users, I guess there are no complaints. DiGi Broadband's speed has been pretty impressive from my testings but I am not satisfied with the wrong information given by the promoters during their One Utama launch and now it has caused me to have problems downgrading. All I can really say is, promoters should not promise or verify information that they are not sure of.

The promoter during the One Utama launch said that the modem for the Extreme package is on promotion at RM15 x 12 months so it is RM300, (original is RM30 monthly). Both he and she said that I can then choose to downgrade to a lower package and still keep the modem by continuing to pay the promotion price at RM15 x 12 months. What the staffs at DiGi said was that if I were to downgrade, I will have to pay the full amount of RM600 for the modem first before downgrading. I seriously think that this is ridiculous and it really isn't my fault as I went to the One Utama launch for 3 consecutive days and was told the same time by different promoters.

For RM300, I think it is okay. My point is that they just provided me with the wrong facts and this is the only thing I dislike with DiGi Broadband. Other than that, I'll give credits to them. In my opinion, their promoters should really be trained and equipped with all the information on the service and they shouldn't make any confirmations if they are not sure.

I was actually interested in the modem only and I was told that only the Extreme plan have it. They told me if I just want the modem, I can register for the Extreme plan first and then the next month either terminate or downgrade and still I just have to pay RM300 for the modem only because promotion is RM15 x 12 instead of RM30 x 12. When I called up DiGi to downgrade my plan, they said I have to first pay RM600 for the modem and this is what I really dislike. The promoters even checked with a few senior staffs over there but not too sure if they are the customer service people and all of them told me I can do this with assurance.

In my opinion, getting your own modem will be less of a hassle especially if you are opting to downgrade or terminate. You can find it in our Trade Zone section or handphone and computer shops as they would carry it these days but shops usually won't sell it that cheap. If you're going for the Extreme package from DiGi, you will need to look for a modem that supports HSPA to get the maximum performance out of it as normal HSDPA modem would only give you up to 3.6mbps.

As long as there's 3G signal, everything will be fine. Some areas are not included in their coverage map yet but it is still blazing fast.

I think he meant that he is out of the coverage map only but that doesn't mean that his area isn't covered. Perhaps it is still under a beta stage so DiGi did not put it up in their coverage map just yet.

I've tested on MMORPGs and it worked fine for me but on FPS shooter games, maybe it is just me but I prefer a much lower latency like 20-30ms so I wouldn't choose a wireless broadband service for games that requires a low latency.

I think it is more or less the same with the Discover plan after exceeding the monthly usage. Perhaps his usage is inconsistent so it isn't worth investing more every month if it is not guaranteed he will go over the quota every month.
