That's really nice info u provide there ... really appreciate it.

So i think the easiest way is to connect both the Xbox360 and DVD player to the HDMI switch and HDMI switch to the monitor. ( For Video)
Connect the speaker to the monitor and live with the audio fade out problem.  biggrin.gif

If use the y-splitter method, cannot connect both the Xbox360 n DVD player at the same time, need to manual switch ... if i'm not mistaken la ... that's also if the composite port on DVD player remain active when HDMI in use.

Guess so if you can tolerate the fade out problem.. biggrin.gif biggrin.gif

U can always use this sort of audio splitter adapter to have both of your xbox and DVD player audio connected at the same time.

Thanks pel ... looks like a need a lot of adapter ... hopefully the video/audio wouldn't degrade.

Finally, received my Dell S2409W monitor n hooked up my Xbox360 to it via HDMI, then tried to connect the speaker to the "Audio Out" on the monitor, surprisingly, I didn't notice any audio fade in problem ... biggrin.gif ...

Any sifu can tell me ... if I use the optical/coxial cable to connect the xbox360 to the speaker, will the sound quality better or HDMI through monitor "Audio Out" better ? Thanks !

Good for you bro.. Try watching movies then pause for a longer time then play again just to see if you will encounter fade out. If not,, i guess they already fixed the problem.

Using optical is better,, I think-- not really sure rclxub.gif rclxub.gif laugh.gif

I haven't try watch movie bcos im still looking for hdmi dvd player, but in Xbox360, after install game to hdd for 10 to 15 mins ... the audio still ok.

If im not mistaken, even though the audio signal is from hdmi but once it enter the monitor to speaker, its not digital anymore .... that's what i think lah.

Try pausing the game for a long time lets say for 1-2 mins then try and see if you encounter fade out. If no problem i really want to know how they fixed it... cry.gif cry.gif

my S2409W do have the audio delay problem (bought last year when it was RM999 cry cry)

i originally plan to use it to play PS3.. but later find the screen a little too small so i got an LCD TV...

now its sitting on my computer table without much use, since i normally don't use computer at home...
