You forget what market the Vios J and Avanza are targetted at is it?

1. The Vios J is an entry level car without any frills, it's also one of the cheapest non-national cars that available. Your only other option would be KIA/Hyundai - better yes, but really notoriously BAD resale value. The Vios J is also great for people who mod - look around, plenty of those around. The 1NZ-FE engine is quite capable and with some modifications, you could actually fit a turbo to it.

2. Name me another NEW MPV (Chana MPV excluded) that's cheaper than the Avanza and is an MPV at the same price range. It also has to be available for the past 4 years. I think don't have loh - and for the Naza RIA, if I'm not mistaken, it's the same price as the Innova. Prior to the Grand Livina, I don't think there's anything that is remotely as good that's available. So if you uncle and auntie, what would you choose?

3. The Vios J and Avanza is being sold in Thailand for around 51k and 59.5k respectively. UMW also pocketed some profits no doubt, but who do you think cause the cars to skyrocket so much and for what reason? Like so many of your post - Undilah Barison Nasional! 4. You think DRB-Oriental-Honda don't make a lot of money? Look at the new Accord, then compare with the Mazda 6. Price difference isn't great leh ah hia. But why CBU unit got more features and gadgets compared to CKD Accord? Makes sense meh? Even more bizarre is the CKD unit Peugeot 407 priced so much cheaper than Accord, Camry and Mazda 6 and comes feature loaded that puts the Japanese sedans to shame.

I never say Camry is bad woh. Camry is cool. That makes HM quickly release 8th gen of Accord because facelifted UC1 sucks.
I still remember what HM did to clear their stocks of facelifted UC1. They offered free leather seat, free GPS and extremely low 1.38% interest rate.

The reason I bashed UMW is because UMW sucks, but UMW doesn't mean and represent Toyota Japan.
Seriously, Camry is a very nice car and classy. This one, I must admit.

At the end of the day, the government sucks most, if not for them - Vios/City would be in 40~50k range, Altis/Civic would be in 60~80krange and Accord/Camry would be under 100k.

Bro, just to let you know that the illuminated sidestep is NOT on all the time. It will only come on when the door is open. Once you close it, it will dim together with the interior room light. You can try it out yourself...press the door sensor at the B-pillar down and you'll see the sidestep light dim and goes off.

This morning i went to GLS Auto to do the auto-lock, they are so friendly and we chit chat about all sort of accessories. Suddenly i saw Autosol Metal Polish for their own usage and selling purpose. We are the Autosol sole-distributor in Malaysia, and they bought the imitation product from one of the near by hardware shop. I explain to them how to differentiate genuine and imitation metal polish, end up they will buy directly from me. Funny. LOL. Business for them and business for me. win win situation.
