wonder if there are any good intermediate players around to join in the fun.....i m new to this thread and thinking of whalloping some balls again....hehehehe....based in Klang....still can play but a little rusty....and need some sifus here for advice for all the latest weapon of mass destruction....hahahaha....been sometime since i really check out rackets...and shoes....hahaha....not that ancient la....but can still whack a few la....

I know that they do have real grass courts in Setia Alam Eco Park Club house in Shah Alam.....but frankly speaking, how many really do have the shoes for a grass court game? Kinda not viable if you ask me.....

Me usually can hit with most rackets.....but i pay more attention to the overall feel of the racket la.....previous stick (so long ago liao.....HEAD Ventoris 660 i think....Austrian made one....still got it here, can restring and whack...hahaha....)

I think what June meant was....you should be able to fit a finger between the 4 fingers and the bed of yr thumb ( the fleshy part of the palm)...when you hold the grip.....Correct ah June?

I got a feeling the elbow and arm could have hurt from the way you grip yr racket, the tension and the perhaps the size of the grip...i wouldnt factor in too much on the strings....strings are only advantageous in only certain style of play....like spinning, flats or dead pacers....

try learning how to hold the racket in a relax manner when u swing....and only kinda grip it steady upon contact with the ball....that helps me in my formative years when i started playing....never had any prob with my elbow..

tension is basically very subjective...and it depends on the racket itself too...someone's sweet tension could be your poison, so to speak....

always have a good feel of the grip in relation to the whole swing of the racket itself.....that's why i m also looking for a place where i could demo rackets for swings.....not those sports shops in shopping centre where all chained up and i can only feel the grip.....no point....
