hey guys just out of curiousity if i wana mod an auto car, wat do i usually do 1st??

wat i tink i shud do 1st:
- buy grounding kit
- change sparkplugs
- exhaust change???

owh n if cn wif out tebo.. hahahha

if ders anytin else cn add oso r??

how much is ur budget??...

well.. a drop-in K&N Filter would help.. then removing the cat and changing to s-flow muffler perhaps would be the next step..

then iridium plugs and changing to better cables (note: bigger mm doesn't mean it's better).. voltage stabilizers and grounding cables will help..

if injection, then u could add some management, perhaps E-Manage or Unichip.. then maybe a fuel pressure regulator...

then try to lighten the car a bit if power is ur quest..






then of course after all these mods, u'll be searching for another auto gearbox to replace ur cooked current auto box.. and in the end, u'll convert to manual trans..

change to s-flow ekzos system 1st

Most important thing is NOT to change exhaust. Auto cars with loud exhaust r horrible. Make the car sound like a motor boat!

not really need to change to manual one, it cost about RM10k to change from auto to manual for some car, and not every car gt auto and manual gearbox for them, some auto car hard to find manual gearbox.

perhaps u should start from the most basic mod, air intake, sparkplug, voltage stabilizer, and exhaust...

depends on wat exhaust u mod, dont mod those exhaust with lousy and noisy sound, in the end, the car beside u will just laugh at u

Lighten Crank Pulley, lighten rims, remove cat-con replace with bullet approx 15"~17" (same inlet/outlet diameter), Adjustable Cam Pulley tune to advance (sacrifies the top speed), piggyback n tune it a little lean (from 14.7 to 14.9 or from 13.5 to 14.0) from 1K to 2.5K rpm.


ooh yea...not to forget ur drop in air filter with CAI.

if you wanna change your muffler, S-flow is the way to go....

leave it, as long it's auto it won't show much HP difference within 1k budget.

cat-con = catalyst converter

15"~17" = length of bullet or length of resonator

Same Inlet/Outlet = the diameter of piping on the bullet is same diameter for both end. And it's the best to get same diameter of bullet in/out with standard piping diameter.

Adjustable Cam Pulley = to replace stock non adjustable to adjustable, where the timing belt installed onto.

Tune to advance = shifting the powerzone to acceleration or pickup.

Tune to retard = shifting the powerzone to top speed.

Piggyback = interceptor of data that return to ECU, simple terms is a device to lie ECU.

Lean / Rich mixture = means air to fuel ratio 14.7 during combustion. 14.7:1 means 14.7 (air): 1 (fuel). Lean will give better and lighter acceleration but it will blown ur engine, that's why i said "a little lean" in the low RPM from 1000 to 2500. Where normally cruising on highways is 3000 to 3500, so leave that rpm rage standard.

if u own an auto, no nid to mod la, very darn expensive...

the best thing u can do is juz adding some stuff, like vs, grounding, acp etc2...

if u wanna get performance mod, go for manual, thts it..

or u can go for other mod, like exterior n interior mod, for autoshow

hahahha.. just wana know cos saving up 2 do bigger mod.. bigger mods not rite now lehh.

im guessin the car in question u wanna mod is ur chevy aveo, rite?? for only 1k, i suggest u juz keep that money.. thats not much u can do 2 boost up the performance of the 1.5L etecII engine anyway

instead of wasting ur money into the basic mod, why dun u jaz change to manual? make sure u find a short ration one. trust me, the result is better than any of the basic mod they mention.

check what is ur transmission stall speed, try to source stall speed below 3000rpm as it's still good for city driving. The higher stall speed means the higher RPM u can rev during the launching from stand still.

Alot ppl said AT is suck to the max in acceleration, but those american use it for 400m drag race....
