I got east malaysia map but also same filename. Is that means we only can use one map at a time? cannot combine?

Can there are sw to allow merging of maps, I dunno much about it but check malfreemaps website where they offer for free this sw.

Garmin can only use one map file at a time. Normally, the map you want Garmin to use will be the gmapsupp.img, you can put in another map but must rename it to something like gmapsupp1.img. When you want to use the other map just rename your original gmapsupp.img to say gmapsupp2.img and then rename your gmapsupp1.img to gmapsupp.img.

I don't think you can delete those spelt words. If I'm not mistaken it's stored in a system file which we have no access to.

Found this on the web, it doesn't allow for a specific deletion of user defined words but deletes all custome spelled words, at least better than none:

"Use a File Manager Go to

c:\system\Data ...

if you put it some new word on your T9 dictionary is
on this file :

T9UDB0f.dat " - delete this file, when you add a new word later the system should re-create a fresh file.

Hope the above helps. Bear in mind I have not tried it out, perhaps you could do a little more research on this yourself.

Hahaha, me too when I first got the Tube my data charges were RM73! Later I subscribed to a limited data plan (Maxis 5MB) just for A-GPS. The rest use wi-fi! Lucky I can claim my bill from company.

Added on February 17, 2009, 11:57 amCan somebody help me understand how to check for the location information for the photos we take with the 5800 with geotagging on? Check from phone but can't seem to see anything extra.

guys, i have something to share...er..but i know no warez is allowed...it's a s/w which actually makes all the 3 lights blink every 2 seconds after 10 seconds u don't attend to the miss call/sms alert where the menu button lights up every 30 secs...i did see some forummers complaining about the light taking too long to blink and there's no setting to correct this...

so TS...do i just put the name of the S/W and ask ppl to google up? or what should i do..just came across this whilst surfing..thanks

Yellow man will launch 3G end of next month. Green company is a famous for launching un-tested product to the market and charge a premium...and yet pp like to subscribe to their service...strange..

Just for your info. I moved from a HTC Touch to the 5800. In all respects, it is better and surely worth the money. What more is I pay full RRP for it... that is RM1499. And till today no regrets..... so my comment is go for it but you have to be certain that you will get use to the touch screen. That is my only caution.
