QUOTE(skyer @ Feb 17 2009, 09:42 AM)
When the predictive text does not show our words, it will ask us to "SPELL" it, right?

Now the question is, Where are those "spelled" words stored? I want to delete some words that I spelled previously...help..
*
I don't think you can delete those spelt words. If I'm not mistaken it's stored in a system file which we have no access to.

Found this on the web, it doesn't allow for a specific deletion of user defined words but deletes all custome spelled words, at least better than none:

"Use a File Manager Go to

c:\system\Data ...

if you put it some new word on your T9 dictionary is
on this file :

T9UDB0f.dat " - delete this file, when you add a new word later the system should re-create a fresh file.

Hope the above helps. Bear in mind I have not tried it out, perhaps you could do a little more research on this yourself.

There's a new version of Malfreemaps out v1.42 available since 16 Feb, only diff is addition of Sandakan map. For those GPS fans who need to have the latest maps go to Malfreemaps website to download.

Do i need to download this also...

Nope. unless you're interested in elevation of the place you're going to. Just download the "Free Malaysia & Singapore GPS Map: MFM v1.42 (16 Feb 2009)" and if you want the "Free Malaysia Garmin Custom POI: MFM-CPOI v1.04 (11 Feb 09)" for more POI info.

I oredi install malsingmaps b4
can i directly install malfreemaps
need to delete any file b4 that?
*
Nope. Just copy the new map file (gmapsupp.img) to the Garmin folder (assuming you're using Garmin) and it will overwrite the old file. Connect in mem card mode.

but now i got 2 gmapsupp.img
one in malfreemap folder n one in garmin folder
need to delete one in garmin folder?
*
Garmin can only use one map file at a time. Normally, the map you want Garmin to use will be the gmapsupp.img, you can put in another map but must rename it to something like gmapsupp1.img. When you want to use the other map just rename your original gmapsupp.img to say gmapsupp2.img and then rename your gmapsupp1.img to gmapsupp.img.

Thanks Zackloy, I will give it a try afterwards...

I owned my tube last month and my Data access usage fee is charged at RM61 last month.... shakehead.gif
Previously using W810i so didn't subscribe to unlimited data plan...
*
Hahaha, me too when I first got the Tube my data charges were RM73! Later I subscribed to a limited data plan (Maxis 5MB) just for A-GPS. The rest use wi-fi! Lucky I can claim my bill from company.

I agree. Although I'm not a contributor, I appreciate the work that MFM is doing and their pace of updates is fantastic. MFM definitely better IMHO. thumbup.gif

No point as Symbian devices even the latest N-series phones cannot take full advantage of even a Class 4 card.

buy 16gb la

Still very expensive and not value for money. If use 16GB must buy at least Class 4 if not transfer rates will be slow on the account of the memory size the phone needs to access.

The class speeds indicates that that the card can do a MINIMUM of X Mb/s. e.g. a Class 4 can easily do 4 Mb/s and can just as easily surpass that speed. The only advantage of having a high speed card I think is using it to transfer with a card reader. The phone can only do so much.
*
Exactly! The phone transfer rates can at best handle speeds in between Class 2 to Class 4 if I remember correctly, Classes higher than that is more for transferring stuff to a PC for example.

hello, im mixo.. just got my blue tube yesterday.
need some help here.
is it possible to sync my outlook mails straight to the phone?
i've tries searching 3rd party software nut i cant.
and where can i download garmin for my tube?
*
Yes, it is possible to sync your mails from outlook to phone using Mail for Exchange. Go to your phone menu, find Downloads, and fing Mail for Exhange then download (I'm assuming you want something like the E71 push email function)

As for Garmin just go the Garmin website and download the latest Garmin XT. The installation instructions is on Page 1. For more information, you can search through Google.
