*proud owner of new ori silver w995* can't stop touching it lol

the sound is kinda bad though.... my mom's old nokia 6230 sounds almost the same as this fone... but when I plug in my sony headphones the sound is great~ Also when listening through bluetooth headset the sound is great too. But on its own, the sound isn't as great as my w580i lor *miss it*

at high volumes the sound breaking... like you know those "krschhh krschhh" noise... shows that the speakers don't cope well with high volume... and thumping bass.... to test this, I played INFINITY (by GIRL NEXT DOOR) at max volume and the sound is horrible... kind of a disappointment... played around with the equalizer oso didn't improve... haiz...

still playing around with it... transferring my media over tomorrow...

EDIT: D'oh... played with google maps... showed my location... pretty neat. when asked to go somewhere else on the map it gave me directions like "turn left at (name of road)" etc etc. my bill is gonna go up dis month lol

i thought suiteng modded his sound driver... need help here bro i have no idea how to mod phones, but since the sound quality is THIS bad i need to DO something. =(

@gahkin: try poking around the contacts? last time i played round there, the "myself" entry has something like IM setting options if you dig deep enough... but i'm not so sure.

u wana mod ur acoustics? i may be able to help u with that.
however, modding the acoustics of ur phone doesnt really affect the output from the external speakers. of course u can make ur phone louder by moddin. but since u said the speakers are not that good, i sugest u stick to the default ones

btw hows d camera?

thx for the help... right now i personally think the max volume is kinda moderate, but it doesn't bother me as much as the bad sound quality. the song tends to get disrupted (the sound clarity) if I turn up the volume, making it hard to hear the song itself clearly unless i depend on headphones, so that kinda bums me out =/ umm, what would you suggest I do about this?

to answer your question, the camera is pretty good IMO... the LED provides an ok lighting: I tried to take a picture of my bag both in the dark and in light, what i can see so far both looked almost the same. close up, the pics do have a purple fringing to them and excessive noise, making the image grainy when view at max resolution. but i dunno how this makes a good comparison lol

it's late now, but tomorrow i'm gonna bring my fone out for a walk maybe i'll post up pictures then.

I don't think so leh, it's for smart phone only.

Ringtone quality depends on how you like it... for me it's loud enough rdy.... can wake me up from sleep instantly... I haven't tested it out fully yet, but from the sound of it, the ringtone has the same quality as the playback quality. not so much... but it'll try it with different songs to see what happens.

I bought it at the SE dealer in my town ma... 12month installment, rm 180 every month total comes to about rm2150.
