in my opinion, i don't find the volume very exciting. like w580i, sure can use outdoors. the volume is loud enough for it. but this fone... can la, but not so much fun as w580i.

dunno bout you guys... i like songs with heavy bass and half the time i listen to dance music, so volume is pretty important to me. the w995 volume was three-quarters of the way there lo.... not quite enough... (but i guess if you listen to other 'lighter' music, it should be well enough).

i checked the volume meter, already max... but still not loud enough for me... *sigh* tongue.gif take note, i didn't try out the stereo effect, i only played a song on the walkman app. so there might be a catch there.

on the other hand, original or not, i don't hold enough confidence in a test model (i.e. one that's been tried by loads of ppl coming to the store) and i believe the best experience you can get is with a completely brand new fone.

so i recommend y'all try it out yourselves first. despite the max volume problem, i'm firm in my decision to buy this fone. just waiting for the money to come in~

Mizu: Testing the ringing volume would be a bit of a trick unless the test model of the phone already has a SIM Card in it.

Since you only got a sample of the sound loudness via Walkman App, there is a chance that out of the App, ring tone would be different.

Ohh your mini review almost got me in shock because of the ring volume issue!! tongue.gif

oh dear~ sweat.gif i'm very sorry! didn't mean to shock doh.gif *total ditz*

it's just that... the ringing volume of my w580i used to be the same as the max volume of the phone itself, so i kinda applied the same idea here sweat.gif

urgh, i got them mixed up... and you know what, i could've tested the ringing volume too, since i saw the guy put in a sim card in the fone... hmm.gif

oh, and i forgot to mention tongue.gif : the keypad is great! it doesn't offer the best feedback but at least there's some assurance that you've pressed a button.

um, i hope someone else could solve that ringing volume issue icon_rolleyes.gif obviously most of us who remained here haven't had the chance to buy the fone yet and don't noe for sure what it's like...

Aiyah, if me, I'd bluetooth a tune (short ring tone) into the phone and then test the MP3 + Ringtone Loudness. Easy as that.
