Well, according to this blog, Sony Style KLCC confirmed that the Retail Price for ori set is RM1999

Hooooo, if that is the case then I'll definitely wait out for the price to drop. Probably it'll drop more towards the end of the year.

Like for example; I own a Samsung SGH-480 aka TOCCO. Bought it at market price of RM1700 in August 2008. Now its going to be close to one year after that. The market price now is at RM1399 after I've done some recent research.

If it drops at least RM300 for the W995 then it will come under consideration for me.

izzit is the casing fonts so easy to sctach and fonts drop become disapper liao?

i love walkman fon..so far, ive use 3 w series. last week i tried out this fon but its not as good as i imagined.. clear sound. 8.1 mp? its was so-so. i decided to buy 5730 XM instead...

I thought W995 paired with noise cancelling headphones..

in some regions they do... like the western countries... I think uk or america but i'm not really sure~

apparently in malaysia they can't provide the same package. so we get the non-noise-cancelling headphones.

it's kinda unfair. i wonder if AP set come with HPM-88?

I'm happy with the W995, it's not perfect, but what is?
It's also nothing groundbreaking, but as a feature phone, it does everything very good.
First of, the weak stuff:

- The LCD should've had better protection, it's just plastic, and not glass like C905 have, so there are bound to be scratches, hopefully there are glass over the camera lens.
Something i think a leader should've had imo.
- Keypad could have enjoyed some better feedback when pressed, that goes for pretty much all the keys on the W995, it's just enough though, for my taste.
But i recommend that you try it before you by it, there are alot worse keypads out there, but for each his own.
- QVGA video resolution, need i say more, that was decent in 2004 or something...
The sound in ear when playing tunes, is to weak, the sound quality is great, and to me in normal usage the volume is enough, but i know there are peope that wants to tune up theyr favorite song, or like me, when i'm in the gym, i need it loud, but it doesn't get that high with the W995.
Maybe a FW can do something about it?
- The spring assisted slider should've been stronger, as it is now, it's a bit weak, and doesn't open as "nice" as say C905, i guess, it's not actually a problem or issue, as it opens nicely anyway.

But that is basicly what there is to complain about also with the W995 at this point.
It really is a great allround device, with very few weaknesses.
Compact, good looking, great build, with nice materials, nice cam, very fast UI (actually better camera than i thought it was, some more pics are coming later on..)
Finally great sound quality from a Walkman and a SEMC device.
So it is a really nice feature mobile, with very few weak sides, so if you don't want a touch device, or do not need a smart phone, and you don't need a xenon, this might actually be a device you could consider.
