Oh finally ive found this thread. xD

Couldnt make it to the 2nd day since Ive fallen sick (was already sick a day before the tourney but since i was desperate to get my SFIV fix, i joined anyway, heck even bought a stick, though ive only won once out of six matches T__T), I'm sure the matches're all exciting and regret not being there. Nonetheless, I'm glad to see that we now have a SF4 scene and i could only wish it to get bigger.

Nice meeting most of the guys at the tourney, I'm leaving back to Japan in 2 weeks and I was hoping maybe if there're any more tourneys/mini tourneys or even casuals, do let me know.. Id like to practice my Abel more, need to get back on my game biggrin.gif.

Last but not least, mad props to the organizers for organizing the event. Despite a few setbacks, I think overall its a well managed event.

We need more of this kinda thing in Malaysia! smile.gif

Watched the video, good match (no ultras performed though lol not that it matters anyway tongue.gif). A blocked/whiffed srk's extremely punishable its better to sadc and lose 2 ex bars than eating a free combo imo. Though I know at tourneys as big as this sometimes people lose focus and stuff happens hehe no disrespect to anyone.

alan, how bout videos of semifinals ? Im sure they're as interesting too

lol we were both scrubs in that vid. though i have to admit that im more comfortable playin on arcade sticks(the positions of the buttons are just nice)... console sticks, been havin problems gettin use with the height of the stick(arm placement etc) and movements, but i'll learn to get used to it... i gotta. biggrin.gif. no excuseeee.

I believe as long as we have people/competition and the dedication.. We can be as good as the Japanese, they are only ahead because they get a way earlier headstart. Its just natural that they have lotsa great players there.

But i have to admit, the gap is still big.

lol crouching unblockables. what a fancy way to call an overhead attack heh

just got back from my first arcades session after a month hiatus, learned some stuff from a vega(dictator) who taught me how to counter his moves etc. he used to play blanka but he said blanka's boring haha. i need to work more on my defense..

one thing for sure, playing on the arcades feel much nicer than on HRAP3, everything is just smoother i dunno sad.gif

aiman: If im not mistaken, japanese standard's square too. Anyway yeah maybe its the buttons and the whole thing itself moves when i play haha.

rawfish: yeah the arcade near my place is the taito viewlix, everything is damn nice (buttons, graphics etc). no words can really describe that. but not everywhere is like that. the place i usually go for freeplay nights(at shibuya) uses some ghetto cabs, lo res and not so good buttons.

since im still on hols, i might wander around other arcades to fight others and learn. since my weakness currently is defense and i cant really learn defense from fighting arcade's cpu, i'll go to arcades with lotsa people and crazy competition, might cost me some money but like they say, no pain no gain XD

though when im broke i'll just go to my friend's and play on ps3 haha. but whenever i can afford it, arcades the way to go for me..

lol im enterin some beginners tournament at Nakano TRF(tokyo ranking fighters) tonight, sorry to say i cant aim to win yet, maybe just get experience and learn more about my matchups.

plus "beginners" in Japan = under 20,000BP and there're lotsa crazy players in that range haha. but hey, im hopin to improve more by playing better players. smile.gif
