That's why you sometimes do it early, block the flash kick, combo to Ultra. biggrin.gif

Chip, then you go to the other end of the screen and crouch forever yourself.

Just to clarify;

Balrog is NOT a defensive character. He's strongest on offence. I just haven't practised with the game enough to get the most out of it.

Practising safe ways to attack is important though. And when something doesn't work anymore, don't keep using it. Remember when I mirror matched Balrog yesterday and he kept catching me with the Turn Around Punch (TAP)? Had to stop doing attacks as he got up. tongue.gif

Btw, you should look into usin the Raging Demon as an anti cross up attack. Not sure if it would work (if Akuma turns around or not) but seems like a good idea.

I played Michael in the arcade, I think (he says he's the only Yun Genei Jin player).

HE COST ME ONE RINGGIT FIFTY CENTS (Urien, Makoto, Dudley).

EDIT: I remember this because it's hte only time I ever lost 3-0.

I know there're people like that. If that's what it takes to win, I'll do it. tongue.gif

Though I tend to use characters where that sort of strategy won't work for the most part.

Aiman, there are A LOT OF 3rd Strike players in the scene and there are A LOT OF Yuns as well. Micheal is one of the better ones. Try rawfish's Yun, or any Old Klang Road's PACMAN Yangs as well. If you think Yun's is scary, try playing a good Makoto. NIGHTMARE!!!!!!

Dude, I AM MAKOTO

A pretty bad one, but a Makoto still.

Makoto/Dudley/Urien/Akuma/Chun

Probably because I never met much competition, so I never bothered to get good.

hatred, you got GGPO or 2DF? I might get on those if you want.

Actually, I haven't gotten GGPO to work on my new OS yet (Vista Ultimate 64) but 2DF should be fine. I'll check it soon and get back to you.

What game? And what's your name there?

I'll get onto 2DF after I remember what in the world is my login and password (didn't find many Malaysians to play with, so connection was bad).

Okay, I managed to log onto GGPO as "Darkstalker" and I'm currently redownloading 2DF on new OS as "Artelier."

I'll post again when the download's done.

I'm online now actually.

If you see me on, gimme a challenge. Remember, it's Artelier there. smile.gif

EDIT: Been trying to get to play this guy there called Jerm but the app keeps quitting. sad.gif

We can still try though, if you're up for it.

Yeah. Apparently the guy I was trying to play with also had loads of problems.

At least it's not just us.

I have no idea. I think port forwarding only affects your ability to host matches (that's how it is in 2DF).

You can try and see. I'll be logged onto GGPO.

Those crouching unblockables are normally referred to as "overheads."

Basically, must block high. smile.gif

Probably the buttons (HRAP3's buttons are a little stiff) or the stick (HRAP3 uses a square gate I believe).

we was there to watch the final match on sunday and both of them is good which i think  we can't beat them yet. But for Nick and Micheal I belief ?if they own a PS3 definitely the top 3 positions would change. Am i right nick and michael?

Not just them.... brows.gif

Alvin

GGPO and 2DF are online game clients that emulates arcade games. So basically SF2, SF3, etc all can be played on them.

You can also use specific emulators to direct connect to other players. I use FBA (Final Burn Alpha) myself, and am a member of both GGPO and 2DF (though 2DF has a lot of connection problems for Malaysians, I feel). If you're interested or want to know more, you can always PM me.

But if enough people go tomorrow then I might join anyway.

Thanks Alan.

Anyone willing to come tomorrow? it might be too short notice for most of us though.

I can make it over weekdays quite easily because I live about 5-10 minutes away, no problem for me. smile.gif

If I were to give my opinion, I'd say Friday afternoon/evening would be good.

I'm just saying, Friday afternoon (after prayers) would be best for ME.

Everyone else should post their best times. tongue.gif
