Just an fyi:

2) Ken (TristanX)

4) Balrog (me)

Dunno about the other two. Not very familiar with them and barely bumped into them until the matches against them.

Tristan, thanks. Wish I owned the game, and a stick.

I must also say you have the best reaction anti air Dragon Punch I've seen. It was slightly safer to jump in at your friend than against you. If you saw me during the practise rounds before the semi finals, I had Alvin's bro try to teach me the range of the walking EX Dragon Punch, which stops jump ins from like 80% of the screen!

The Ryu was Kit Fai I believe.

Btw, for those that didnt' stick around AFTER the mini tournament, a bunch of us played a few more rounds as it was raining heavily and it was jammed outside anyway.

I had my revenge against Alvin's bro in a SECOND Gouki vs Gouki after the mini-tournament. Anti air Raging Demon is really fun.

I also played Gouken vs Gouken against Alvin, the Gouken in the knockout stages, but got schooled by him.

Since you brought it up Rawfish, I'll just a give a bit of Balrog info:

When you want to Ultra someone in the air (juggle or counter hit), the easiest way for most damage is that you miss the second hit completely regardless, regardless of what the first hit was.

So it's PPKKK or KPKKK. The reason you miss the second hit is that when it hits, you either hit up to the 4th hit and miss the 5th (the most damaging one) or you hit only the first two hits and then the guy falls down BEHIND Balrog, which is really bad.

He can also actually Ultra from more positions than what I showed in the tournament, but I couldn't react fast enough on a pad.

My girlfriend recorded my match against Tristan during the Group B preliminaries.

I'll try to get that one up later.

Yeah, I know you have to hold the button down for the easiest way to get the uppercuts to come out.

There were other tricks I wanted to do with Balrog, but they were nigh impossible on pad. Sigh. sad.gif

When do you want to have it next week, Alan?

I probably will be busy most Sundays, though Friday/Saturday should be fine.

Alvin, you're slightly off:

I fought Tristan in the B Group prelims. I did not fight him in the semis, I fought the champ in the semis (forgot his name right now, sorry). Nice editing though.

Tristan:

I'm the other way around. Sungei Wang is too far for me most of the time and travelling there is hard. However, if I do go there I'll try to see if I can drop by the shop. smile.gif

And yes, that means One Utama and Cineleisure are damn easy to get to for me.

EDIT: Tristan, that's the semi (best of five).

I'm trying to get the one where you and I fought in B Group since my gf recorded it but connection today has been bad and she's not too familiar with converting and uploading it herself.

Not sure if I'm coming yet Alan, may be busy. I'll definitely drop by if I'm free though.

Zangief is scary. sad.gif

Against Zangief:
- Jump back HP/HK a lot
- Watch out for Green Hand and whiff Green Hand to throw
- If possible, never get knocked down, otherwise you have to guess on wakeup if he does Lariat or throw
- Know exactly what beats lariat (timed Blanka roll, Balrog crouching HP or HK depending on distance, etc)
- Don't do anything that isn't comboable, Gief can grab you in between

Alan, can we just drop by if we're free during that time period? Since I'm not sure if I can make it and all.

I'm itching to try out my arcade stick.

Your fat guy was wasted in Street Fighter 4. He should've been a secret character in World of Goo.

So much effort, so little damage...

Push Guile to the corner.

Win.

tongue.gif

Seriously? Go for trades. Most characters on trade do more damage to Guile than Guile to them. Otherwise, high/low/throw mixup.
