Plus as long as the taunting is only done in-game, shouldnt be a problem. Then kicking should be banned too. lol

So are you saying he'll still have fun after getting a massive beatdown?? You dont need to get taunted to feel like crap after getting totally outclassed by someone (perfected etc), whether the fun is lost or not is depending on the individual themselves, putting too many silly restrictions can kill the fun too.. though to be honest, a pro player wont really taunt against strangers, maybe yes against his friends but not against some random person. Plus using pad, hp/hk is r1/r2 right? so chances for accidental taunts are there too.

I think the DQ because of taunting shouldnt be a rule.. the home button too, should be made to be depending on the opponent's kindness. Lets say you accidentally pressed the home button against me while I'm on the offense/having the lead, I'm the one who has the right to either TAKE THE ROUND (spam s.hk while the other player do nothing) or continue as usual. Straight up DQ-ing is pretty harsh for something that is accidental. And if its NOT accidental, its gonna be a hell of a nuisance to prove it.

Its gonna be really fun when I accidentally taunted and get DQ-ed wheeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee

all in all, i dont really support a no-taunting rule, and the home button rule should be up to the other person's kindness.

well setting the taunt to no taunt fixes the problem yeah. done. lol

anyway, i still dont think it should be banned. dont get me wrong, i dont taunt at all(except maybe against some close friends or people who taunted me and i beatdown his ass and i'll taunt back right before finishin him off) and based from my experience joining tourneys here, taunting can be something that is frowned upon BUT also can be something that makes thing interesting/create a few laughs etc.. to me its a legit tool but a good player should be able to win without using it.

anyway i dont think taunting a turtle or runaway to provoke him is unsportsmanship behavior at all. its situational.

Again, its okay if i humiliate and anger him without taunting? Its okay to destroy his fun without taunting? Thats why I stated in my prev post that its STRICTLY depending on the individuals. Plus I can spam moves to build meter and that can be seen as taunting to some people too.

I just dont think its good to put unnecessary restrictions, thats all. Freedom of speech lol jk.

You can be an ******* and taunt in-game as long as at the end of the day, both players acknowledge that its just a game and shake hands and all. Thats all that matters imo.
