QUOTE(rawfish @ Aug 17 2009, 02:12 PM) Bonus: I was there!!! Their setups was crazy, lotsa players gathered and played together. The new Japanese Madcatz TE felt good too. (though to be honest there were quite a number of meh sticks that day too - its hard to get like 20+ high quality joysticks)1) New Asian/Japanese Mad Catz TE FightSticks. They made their debut in the God's Garden tournament 2 weeks ago. Since these are non-SF-licensed, they should cost cheaper once they reach our shores or online at Play-Asia. Yay! ![]() 2) Ladies mini-tournament, held at God's Garden too. Oh damn! I heard they could kick-ass too, and the winner was a Blanka. If anybody REALLY cares, the guy in white is Nemo (he and Nuki's among the best Chun Li players in the world) and one of the announcers is KSK, the organizer. If anyone cares. LOL. ![]() Regardin the ladies at godsgarden, the blanka and rufus were pretty beastly.. There were one sagat that mashes ultra in between people's blockstrings LOL scrubby shit (but she still won some of those). eh damn thats me in the picture, (second picture wearin black, standin at the back scratchin ma head) rawfish, where you get them pics ah? i wanna see them Added on August 17, 2009, 2:22 pm QUOTE(JuzJoe @ Aug 17 2009, 02:16 PM) yaya, ex green hand its a great move, to either move forward or combos. Don't use the normal green hand leh, i read that even on hit u have negative frames. So far on GFWL, Deoptician's zangief is crazy, he knows his range very well, I always get spd from afar, until i have a feeling that his using kara spd... well ex green hand is totally not safe when blocked too.he comes online usually late at nite can find him to get sum tips from him and switch to fight stick la; no no to pads. QUOTE(rawfish @ Aug 17 2009, 02:32 PM) That, my friend, makes you the luckiest b*stard here. Also committed epic failure to mankind by not bringing a camera to take more of those glorious shots. Maybe that's why you're scratching your head. LOL... just kidding dude, good for you you were there and SBO lol yeah i had prepared a camera for that event but once i reached the place i realized i left it back home.. you have no idea how much i regret that lol..I got those from neoGAF: http://www.neogaf.com/forum/showthread.php...03#post17116803 That's ALL. I spend hours still at work here finding for more... zilch the organizers took A LOT of pictures, i believe they're sorting that out and later will upload them at the official tokyo game night site. oh and godsgarden 2 is gonna be held in another 3 months or so.. i'll promise to bring a camera then LOL |

QUOTE(kileak @ Aug 17 2009, 04:02 PM) I could be wrong, but would it matter if you're crouch-blocking/stand-blocking? yeah abel can punish blanka ball(not by ultra) only when blocked standing too.For example, I know Rose can't punish a Blanka-ball on crouch-block; apparently there's a few extra block stun frames. However, on stand-block, she can do a reversal Ultra to punish it. Tried it on training mode last week, and this seems to hold true... |

hmm it appears as if both the abel n zangief didnt know the matchup THAT well( abel - against gief after a fmk dash its rarely a good thing to follow with a TT..)... zangief rapes abel for free in that matchup.. especially after gief gets a knockdown, the whole option select zangief has = pwnz abel for free.

QUOTE(alanmukkl @ Aug 17 2009, 08:30 PM) Hi guys - here is some thought to make the tournament even better, specially those who want to capture videos. 1) Yeah, this has been done during evo, godsgarden and sbo. Cool idea but its not really that high in the priority list.1) Probably next time - if i have enough materials and equipments...we can have a camera or a web cam focusing on players face. Each cam for each player and center screen shows the current match. 2) Better stereo equipments as I am a pretty well MC and can make the event even better. 3) Tables and space got to be bigger 4) A sofa or seats for contestant who waits for their match. 5) Perhaps with some sponsors - Catering for snacks and water 6) Limited Edition Tshirts only for SF community - The more you win, the more title we embrodered for you. something like achievement on ps3 7) More cosplayers standing next to the players as supporters... 8) OR a sexy female street fighter stand in between the players and say GO !!! - like racing car thingy... 9) MALAYSIA OPEN tourney where we can invite our neighbour country... 2) Yeah, an MC is a good idea, but have to be someone who knows the game and knows to MC. 3) I agree with this. 4) Nah, other players can stand around. Sofa/seats take a lot of space. 5) Sounds good on paper but then have to find sponsor etc. 6) Cool idea, but are you gonna give the tshirt on that day or after the winner's decided then make it according to his/her size lol 7) I'm never a fan of cosplays, so i'll pass 8) lol thats kinda sexist aint it 9) Open tourney is pretty good idea, but have to make sure our players are ready for such things or will end up embarrassed lol Anyway some of the ideas will require extra cost and its always hard when money's involved.. QUOTE(alanmukkl @ Aug 17 2009, 08:47 PM) Thanks Brastel...for your input...lets hope we can get enough sponsors...and thats why we need every SF fans there to attend the tourney ...the more you guys show up, the more valueable the tournament is the easier for me to get sponsors to open their eyes... no problemo. anyway if you're giving the tshirt on that day... what size are you gonna make it in? lol L? XL? I cant fit in L anymore Regarding the T SHIRT - I think we will give it on that day...for pics purpose but he will receive it within a week and wear it on next event. |

lol yeah i dont think thats gambling but i can see why its similar. its gambling when you're only watching the match and betting on who's going to win etc.

QUOTE(Phyurix @ Aug 18 2009, 05:17 PM) For some, momochi's play using Akuma vs Gief (but using that gameplay against everyone lol but then with gouki's health, he sure dont wanna get near to a gief. Another one of those days when I didn't know how to go against a Blanka spamming roll and Electric moves till Judgement Day. Really thought its was too godly till dunno how to play against him. For the mean time ok la, I know some ways already to punish back but for those others. They'll just get pissed and say the game no skill and then quit nothing is cheap. lol it sucks until you figured how to deal with it. and when people figured how to deal with stuff, people will come up with new stuff.. ah the beauty of sf. |
