*
Hey, some1 pls help me out and provide me some useful information pls...

And i will like to ask u all whether ur phone had experienced auto restart or not?? i experienced it b4 when the phone is juz 1 day old...then after that no more dy until last night. when my bluetooth was busy connecting with my laptop, then i try to browse the web using 3.5g...when i clicked it, my phone auto restart...can it be software problem?? or maybe the phone is built to auto restart when it is busy (like the refresh button in computer ) ??

And may i know is 2GB micro sd included is enough or not?? or should i upgrade it to 8GB??

they say la..i never check
8 cents per satellite lock
means if u use gps applications, ur telco will charge u 8cents when u use A-GPS to lock sattelite
after u locked the signal, everything will be free
if you closed it, then open again..another 8 cents..get it?
chris, u used 2 min to lock signal even if using A-GPS? how come take so long?
mine very fast wan lor..few seconds then locked..using garmin

If you don't need it, don't buy it yet. Your RM80 may be able to buy 16GB later when the price drop and you really need it then.

On the dust, laminate/skin wrap the keypads.
*
Okay buddy, i will not buy it yet until i think that i really need it...thx for the advise a lot....If i really have to buy it, then i will have to re-install my n-gage application which is saved in the memory card by default...and so is the panoman application...kinda weird right??

I personally think 99.99% of them wont need reinstall. laugh.gif
Garmin would required a new serial.

Oo really?? cuz im planning to swap my 2gb card with my dad who has 4 gb card...

Different user have different needs. I'm happy with the N82, especially with a large community (and hackers) behind the S60 3rd  tongue.gif  I love how limitless the possibilities are with its ability to install third party apps.

SE phones are simpler and more user friendly, especially for non-techie users.
Mind letting us know the solution or just PM me? My N82 is hacked with ROMpatcher installed icon_rolleyes.gif
*
Yea...SE phone is probably too simple ... so i do not feel satisfy with it so much...thus, i bought my N82 . haha

QUOTE(fender @ May 5 2009, 09:14 PM)
greetings..

i was an ex-SE phone user too! my previous phone was W610i.
i found that the N-series are packed with thousands of features especially WiFi + GPS + stereo speakers and they made me chose this phone.
i guess i have to learn to get used to nokia's UI first before making any 'improvements' in my phone. and i am really looking forward to 'enhance' my phone. well,i am not new to doing this kind of things because i have done that before on my motorola phones. but i didn't have the time to do that on my W610i though..

overall, i think N82 will be a great friend to me.
however, i still dislike the music player. or maybe i'm  just still new?
it is really different with walkman player, both have their + and - sides.
for example, nokia has the ID3Tag editor, which is very helpful but the walkman has its 'queue' feature which i really like!

by the way, why does this phone doesn't have dedicated multimedia/music player keys? they should be very handy right..

and if only motorola distribute the ZN5 phone here, N82 would have an undisputable rival eversince, in terms of camera performance. and probably i won't be using this phone right now  tongue.gif

well, i only just use this phone for a day only and there's still much to learn..i hope u guys will give me advise!
*
Erm...this phone is mostly built for Camera purpose...so lacking of the music key is juz normal for it...by the way, even though u have the key, the key is useless to when u r in standby mode...so what for do u wan the key?? Your D pad acts like the music key dy...

well,i partially agree with the keys. the keys should not specifically be used for the music only, but other medias too such as videos or pic slideshow. from what i see, this phone also perform well in video playback or streaming thanks to the graphic processor, and more people will likely to play more videos hence a dedicated multimedia playback keys are needed for their convenience. think of this situation, u are listening to a song while sms-ing or playing a game, then with a reason u want to stop the music instantly. well, how many times should i press the buttons? 3 times? please correct me if there is another way and please do ignore me if u think i'm  just another newbie.

anyway, on the other hand, more buttons means they will turn this phone to look less aesthetic.
cheers!
*
Hey buddy, i agree that it will be good if there is a specific button for video playback and slideshow...but, if u wan the 4 music keys to be appeared in the N82, then the current design is totally gone!! we will not have our current pleasent look of the N82....although u r quite right if we have the button, we can easily close the music whenever we want...anyway, good suggestion...

QUOTE(davez86 @ May 6 2009, 05:08 AM)
So how any solution to get a sms counter for n82. Any softwares?
When i press the menu key for a few seconds sometimes there are applications which have not been closed. Is it true that it will use up more battery if the applications are not closed.
*
erm...im not sure but i do heard lots of ppl saying this "MYTH" before...i guess it is better for us to believe rather then ignoring it...
