@jeffreytjw:

Please... I do feel that I was harsh making those comments about the Bunkasai night... But still, I won't change my mind. Maybe this is one of those movies that shows an awesome trailer but in the end you get just something which mainly burned an experience in my brain. Not all things turn they out what they suppose to be.

True, starting an event like this is tough. I've been there done that... It's just that we (event goes) put so high hopes to it! We dressed nicely going to the event. We knew there would be traffic jam so we walked there. I live at Angkasa Condo. I'm not a UCSI student but I'm so keen on going to it.

I've had no sleep over this... My body is aching from walking and standing there for like 3 hours. Bad impression towards me.

One more thing... The comments I made, I do really take all of them seriously... Tell them to your team, Let this be AN EXPERIENCE... NOT something you count as SHOOT BLINDLY towards you guys. This is a part of making events. Letting people judge YOU and YOUR TEAM'S work! You cannot say you judge them all. Everyone's comment is important. If a restaurant waitress is careless, Should I not blame the waitress but the chef? That is irrational!!! That is the POINT in critic peoples work!!! Straight hard cold and harsh!

Absorb this information... Tell them to your team... Let them handle and go though the feeling of failure. Failure does not mean you guys are giving up on another Bunkasai? It's just that I feel like you guys overdone one part but left the other behind in the tail.

I do like some of the events there like the cosplayers, the ice blended stall and the Ramli Burger AND The Magic Booth (The guy so awesome!!!)!!! But it just lack the Oriental feeling. I hope that when planning another event like this... Prepare MORE sooner than you think. Go update with the management! (I know they are a$$e$ but still, you want your event work or not?)

And one more food for thought,

Humans in basic do not think of strangers first. They think for themselves. Thus even if you ask us to be more understanding to your event. This is like labeling your event "Please be nice to us" and expect magic to happen.

That is not how things work...

Dear Supporter!

Sorry that the event was a disappointment and not up to your expectation, We hope that you would still support us and as the Organizing Chairman (OC) i promise you we shall learn from our mistake and that our next event Bunkasai would be more up to your expectation. I also thank you for coming and give us good feedback that would help us improve our event in the future and appreciated you spending your time coming and support this event.

It was my mistake for not doing more research and plan/organize properly, but as time was limited i tried my best to compile as many way to save our club as well as the event. But at last it not a total failure, so I thank you all. Please do support us again! you people safe us from despair with the university management.

thank you

I went to Bunkasai, and I didnt expect much from the cosplays as I'm more into thecultural/ matsuri event. I can see the effort given in making preparations, but theres a lot of hiccups here and there.
1st of all, the location. I understand there was downpour in the afternoon. But the stalls are too cramped up. Would be better If had follow your original placement of stalls as per reception desk.
Then the location was rather unsuitable as it looks like more of clash of the cultures of east and middle east =__=" Kind of kills the atmosphere.
I understand this event is managed by student/club, but it would have been better that if you guys actually consult Japanese-Malaysian Assoc.(or whatever you call it) to assist in cultural stuffs from folk-dances, musics to caligraphy/arts etc.

A for effort, but C for result >_<

my few cents

this was what expected:

let's put it this way...
i hope u guys dun take it personally...

as far as i've looked at the advertisement n the actual event...
i understand u guys did ur best... but u guys also mus understand the ppl's expectations as well when they read ur advertisement...

sometimes making too many promises may b ur downfall as there are a lot of things to cover just to keep promises...
so my suggestion to u guys is... try to do a lot of research on festivals n matsuri at least 2 months beforehand n seek help from anyone who's expert on japanese culture... they will help u if u ask them...

and also... DUN PROMISE ANYTHING IF U REALLY CAN'T DO IT! DUN DO THINGS LAST MINUTE AS WELL!

if there r areas u can't really do or beyond ur hands... DUN DO IT... there r always room for upgrades... matsuri is always there year after year... it will NEVER disappear from everyone's sight! ;p

another thing, i heard complaints from ppl that the committee members r not very friendly n lack of communication skills... this is also another downfall... whenever u haf visitors coming, plz BE POLITE N FRIENDLY TO THEM, even if u hate them personally...

i dun expect everyone's language to be perfect, but it's important if v can speak good english especially on important event where even foreigners might come to visit... if u talk broken language to foreigners by chance... ur gonna leave a bad impression...

dat's all for now...
i hope it's not too harsh for u to take it...

Hi! I want to gv appologize to anyone here that came to our event yesterday. I know that all of U were disappointed with what U see n what U feel there. I know that we were lacked of research. We also lacked to hv the same feeling as the event goers. I accept all UR comments. Even some R hurting. But every1 has their comments. Thx for all of U. We will fix it up and be a better 1 than yesterday!

And sure we will hv post-mortem n we will discuss bout that. I've tried my best to get japanese performance. But, unfortunately I couldn't get it. It was my fault that I couldn't attract all of U to stay with us till the end. It was my mistake. We'll b better next time! I feel sorry that our committee didn't treat U friendly.

I know that that was our 1st event. So we didn't hv experience in facing the problems that some of U listed it. We didn't look for the details. For the timeline, I'm really sorry to confirm it last minute.

Anyway, thx for all!I hope that we can satisfy U in the next event!

What already happened happened. No fuss of bringing it up.

Just take the record for the future event.

Hello members, I want to thank all of you to give us the feedback and comments here!

Bunkasai actually combines all of them into one, and this makes us very hard to organize. We are very sorry for the disappointment.

Nevertheless your feedback's before will be the key and the answer for us to learn from mistakes! (^o^)

Once again, Thank you so much! (^.^)
