I'd go for the Galaxy S over the iPhone. I prefer a more open OS than Apple's close-knit one. Also the Hummingbird processor trumps the A4 anytime.

Depends on your need. Do you want a business-oriented phone (BB) or a more multimedia-focused device? (iPhone)

Blackberries excel in all of your criteria except web surfing. The screen is quite small making web browsing a pain. As for the iPhone, they do everything well. So one more considering factor is whether or not you want the BlackBerry plan. This service is more expensive but in return you get better push email services, cheaper SMS to other BlackBerry users, etc. So unless you have a network of BBs or require their services, the iPhone is my pick.
Not everybody needs a BlackBerry. This post has been edited by pziv2: Jul 9 2010, 11:02 AM |

Please note that the iPhone battery life is far better than those on the Android devices.
As for the UI, there's a huge difference. Best thing to do is to play with both OS before making your decision. I prefer Android. |

The majority of Android devices suck up more battery than the iPhone, perhaps your Samsung Galaxy S (which I really want) is an exception. Besides, his options did not state the Galaxy S as one, so I think that my previous statement is more relevant.
QUOTE How do i play with the OS? i dont even have friends that have both type of phones.. Most PDA centres often have models for you to play with. As for the iPhone, there lots of Apple resellers that have the iPhone (or iTouch) as a display model for you to play with. |

You could get an Android device like the Motorola Milestone or if you are lucky a HTC Legend at that price range.

I recommend the Vivaz Pro for the bigger screen. X10 Mini is just too small for my preference.

Definitely Desire. Desire has a higher resolution (WVGA vs QVGA), larger screen (3.7" vs 3.2"), faster processor, (1GHz vs 528MHz). Connectivity wise both are the same.

Go for Wildfire. S60 sucks and its true Nokia touchscreens (especially on the C6) suck because of resistive technology. The X6 doesn't count since it uses capacitive technology (akin on the iPhone, etc.).
The Wildfire on the other hand uses capacitive touchscreens plus has multitouch capabilities. Just the resolution is a bit too small. |

Further more, C6's OS is dying.

QUOTE(virusspreader @ Aug 14 2010, 12:35 PM) Depends on your need.Spec-wise the Nokia C6 wins hands down, with better camera, screen, keyboard, CPU, etc. Unfortunately, all those are hampered by the user-unfriendly interface of S60. As for the Wildfire, spec wise it is sub-par, except for the better screen technology (Capacitive over resistive), meaning you can do multitouch gestures on your device. In addition, Wildfire also packs Android 2.1, which in contrast to S60, is far newer, open and better. The interface is largely friendly, although sometimes it might be confusing for new comers. However, some users do report some slow-downs on the device, partly due to the slower CPU. What's more, some Android apps from the Market might not run on the Wildfire due to the screen resolution (QVGA is outdated). The camera isn't that good (as with nearly all HTC devices). So that boils down to your need: Why do you want a phone? Is it to catch up with the technology? If that's the case, go for the Wildfire. If you're buying a phone just for normal multimedia (SMS, a little websurfing, etc.) and do not care about outdated software, go for the C6. |

Symbian is old, user-unfriendly, and has crap apps.
Android is new, much more user friendly, and has better apps. (Not saying they are as good as iOS, but not as crappy as Symbian) |

QUOTE(eddie2020 @ Sep 3 2010, 12:00 AM) symbian not old.. they have alot of version.. Symbian is not old? First Symbian OS phone was the Ericsson R380, and that's in 2000. The first Nokia S60 version is from 2001, followed by revisions in 2003, 2005, 2008, and 2010. Core architecture remains the same throughout the revisions (except the 2010 revision for Symbian^3, but that's another matter, since its not here in MY yet). And this makes it bad. Just look at WinMo and you'll understand.at least symbian is enough stable.. and support quite a number of application |

If you're going for the camera, then go Satio, followed by the X6. Wildfire camera performance is sub-par like most HTC devices.
If you're going for a more up-to-date phone, go for the Wildfire. Android is far newer and better than Symbian. If you're going for an intensive app library, go Wildfire. Android has better and more apps than Symbian. |

QUOTE(blablablablabla @ Oct 8 2010, 03:15 PM) good day. If you are going for camera performance, get Nokia cameraphones. They're top-notch. If you can wait, I recommend the N8. iPhone feature-wise is better that all those SE phones, but camera wise it is slightly sub-par. can all the gurus tell me SE VIVAZ PRO, VIVAZ, and Aino, which have the best features??? btw, isnt i phone the best if compare to those both se phones i stated?? and i heard they keep complaining that all phones's camera features isnt as best as SE if its in the same megapixels. i m looking for a better camera phones. thanx alot!!!!!! If I were you, I'd get the iPhone, but the Vivaz Pro would be my second choice. It has everything the Vivaz has plus keyboard (except MP count is lower). Aino isn't a good phone. The phone is buggy and the concept is flawed. |

No. take the SE Satio and N8 for example. Both have 12 MP cameras, but the N8 is clearly way better than the Satio. Or take the N86 vs the W995i. Both have 8MP cameras (in fact W995i has 8.1MP) but still the N86 is better. Or perhaps the N82 and the SE Vivaz Pro.
In night mode, Nokia's camera quality is still better than SE. But to be honest, I don't really recommend Nokia or SE if you are planning to use this for like 2-3 years. At present both Nokia and SE is losing ground. This post has been edited by pziv2: Oct 9 2010, 03:16 PM |
