- battery life (roughly last how long)
- speaker quality
- photo taken quality ( photo taken with 12.1 MP really very much better than N900's)
- phone responsiveness
How do these two phone fare?

Battery life actually depends on your usage but for me n900 can last me whole day 3 to 4 hrs net surfing via wifi, 10 -15 phones call 10 mins average , alot of smses'

what does "Owns flat" mean?

i guess meaning out of comparison. you can't even compare as the differences in class is big.
it is like in football, a team thrash the opponent flat.

It just mean unbeatable.

Milestone can give the N900 a run..
And perhaps might edge it in some aspect too..

Like the above forumer said the camera and speaker wont be the best but everything else about it is great. We even overclocking our processor we can feel of turbo on responsiveness

I thought Maemo is a good and smooth OS? I watched few video reviews about N900, i can see it can take good quality photo as well although not on par with Satio's 12.1MP.

Yes its good and smooth wats best there no limitation like iphone at all.

i mean.. if you dont mind the OS... i.e if you dont mind the phone isnt Symbian/WM/Android/etc ..

so.. you can go for Maemo.. if you like Maemo..
