This i might cn help..
-input if touch screen, HTC has the better screen compared 2 N97 or Satio..Tested by me la..Other ppl may disagree..
But N97 has a full qwerty kb underneath..

-Smoothness of OS - HTC uses andriod os..N97 n Satio with symbian..INHO, i thinkk symbian would be a better bet since i did owned a 5800 b4 n its quite similar with the OS of n97..

-Apps - I think nokia n SE more apps.. But HTC has sum cool apps 2..

-Camera - Would think Sation rules em all with n97 coming not far behind

-Long lasting - Hard 2 say bt HTC ph's laz longer compared 2 Nokia n SE coz Nokia n SE many new models asap..

This is my opinion only..If wrong, pls correct TQ icon_rolleyes.gif

In a nutshell, i prefer Satio actually coz its cool n nice design n based on my past experience with SE, its quite cool 4 a 12.1 megapix ph..

That is in FUTURE..
In present, maemo 5 is a prototype..
If not much fans, the OS will die out..
As simple as that..

Since its your B'day..
E72 vs n97 vs n97 mini..
E72 is a business phone lo..
Functions are more to business such as email n etc..
N97 is more of a fun phone in my opinion..
In terms of OS, ntg fancy or different..
N97 got touch screen and full qwerty..
Maybe if me, I rather go N97 or N97 mini depending on which 1 you want la..

In terms of Specs, I think HD2 dominates..
1 ghz snapdragon proc and 4"3 screen..

Spam all buttons..
Spam the touch input..
Run every program..
Off and on the phone..
Check the connectors or accessories given..
Call and send a text message..
Use the video call..
Test the camera..
Juz spend the tyme to play with the phone for like 30 minutes..
See got problem or not..
Observe the phone 4 2 days..
If got problem, run 2 the shop and ask 4 replacement ASAP!

Touch every part of the screen
See any lack of response from certain part of the screen or not
Observe dead pixel too btw~

Hardware harder to check..
If PC,I can open up n test 1 by 1..
But if PDA, i seriously recommend do not buy 2nd hand esp Touch Phone..
I know some people who sold off their faulty touch phone to other people..

And to ur N900 Q, surely there is different.
Iphone from Usa and Iphone is Malaysia is different right?
N900 is currently a phone for the Europe and not Asia Pacific..
Cant support Chinese yet..
Whether there is a future update to this phone or not, that's a big Question mark..

N97 mini is the symbian OS
N900 is the Maemo~
Both also have not much prospect in my honest opinion..
N900 is not even racking up huge sales..
If you want always updated OS n Stability, Then go Android~

I think Aino has the edge slightly in this aspect..
Aino has a semi touch screen, and its pretty cool..
But need to flash 2 de latest firmware to prevent lag-ness~

Satio, N900, google Nexus, Milestone..

HD2 is abit old, but I assure you, it is as powerful as it can get..
Surfing wise, with a 4"3 screen, its very pleasing to your eyes XD
