This proves Arsenal fans have better taste than Man Utd fans when it comes to movies. And football.

Avatar is better than Inception. I have no hesitation in calling Avatar a good movie, it may not be great, it will almost certainly not stand the test of time, but it takes a very unoriginal story and executes it well enough. You could say it is the very antithesis of Inception.

Avatar was pretty much Disney's Atlantis with more violence and CGI.
It is about Cobb going home, and the focus on him was appropriate; yet as mentioned the entire first 3 quarters of the movie was easily brushed aside for a simple, abrupt ending. The inception was a success as Fischer did mention what he was going to do, but it would have been better if he was actually shown doing it rather than "talking about it" which is one of the gripes we agree on.

Anyway, good try Nolan... but keep it simple next time or you might end up like M.Night Shyamalan, whom I actually think got too much unnecessary flak.

I wasn't actually talking about showing Fischer dissolving his father's empire. I dont think we need to see that nor is it in the scope of the movie. What I was talking about was using visuals to flesh out the ideas and concepts instead of relying on verbally explaining them to the audience mostly via Ariadne. The concept provides such a rich visual template but a pity Nolan could do shit with it.

That I have to agree. Truck flip wasn't that mesmerizing after watching it 20 times now.

Nolan can't film action scenes but The Dark Knight had some damn good shots- Batman jumping down on the van, the Joker's head sticking out of the car window, Joker upside down, and yes, the friggin awesome shot the the flipping truck!
