well maybe it's my mistake cuz i didn't notice that.anyway this is my 1st time having NNs so i dont really mind cuz i hv a lot to learn in NNs selok belok haha and maybe next time i'll try with real one etc.
*
Well... it's ok la.. first time is always a good time to learn.

The blue NNs can be ordered customized from outside.. You can buy through ebay. Malaysian stores like ali and real one, they only order per sets since the demand for blue NNs is not high.. same goes for some gold and red NNs...

It's for personal satisfaction.. so just enjoy the kit. But in the future, you can try to ask anyone here if you plan to make it as precise as possible. No harm trying!

QUOTE(benQue @ Feb 22 2009, 03:40 AM)
so in total how much it cost ya?
*
You can check at the first page.. RM6 per letter, RM35 per number. One dot is considered as one letter. You can do the maths..

QUOTE(tchiaming @ Feb 23 2009, 09:15 PM)
hey guys. i bought 3 man utd jerseys from manutd.com.
kitbag is the middleman company in this one, as they handle my online purchase.
anyway, i decided to go for the express delivery with UPS and to my dismay, i had to pay additional RM180 to UPS for GST and other duty taxes (UPS paid first and i had to pay them back upon collection of my purchase).

i thought sports goods are tax free? can anybody clarify this matter and help me get my money back? thanks
*
Sports are not tax free.

It is normal to be taxed when the item is more than RM500... But to be on safe side, try to not buy too much items on one order. Try to lower it below RM400 to be safe.

Customs have the rights to tax anything you buy or bring from abroad. I am not 100% sure if there is any official rules on how to avoid tax, but as I said above.. to minimize risks.. It is not 100% workable but again, try lower the risks in the future.

Customs will always check the invoice documents that comes along when a parcel is delivered and arrives at KLIA. kitbag is strict on declaring the values of the items because if an item goes missing and kitbag needs to refund back the customer, their insurance or claims has to refer back to the value of the item declared in the invoice documents. So we have to understand why kitbag is strict. I know some sellers can nego with them to lower the declared value stated in the invoice but it is a risk for their behalf if they obliged to do so.

So in the future, if you want to buy a lot of items, make sure the total value including shipping fee doesn't exceed too much. To play safe, try have it below RM400 or as cheap as possible.

*To the mods, this is not an illegal way to avoid tax. I have discussed this with someone who asked the customs and they told me it is legal to share this info.

i found this pic in the internet. its for nex season's away kit. not sure if its official. smile.gif

In honour of a player who helped them win their first major trophy, Manchester United will play in remake of the historic kit from 1909 next 09/10 season.
Players from United will wear home shirts, which feature a large white V-shape sash down the front.
The kit is based upon a 100-year-old design supplied by one of the club's own players, Billy Meredith, before the 1909 FA Cup Final. (As a sideline Meredith ran a sports shop and became the club's kit supplier. For the Wembley final with Bristol City, both sides had to change from their usual red shirts.)
Billy Meredith's trademark was a toothpick he chewed while playing; he believed it assisted his concentration. He originally used chewing tobacco, however the cleaners refused to wash the spit off his shirts!
United's kit manufacturer Nike have been asked to rework Meredith's shirt - using high-tech materials rather than heavyweight cotton and with a white sash on a red shirt instead of 1909's red-on-white.
A Man Utd insider said: "The club felt bringing back this old kit was the perfect way for United to mark 100 years of success."
*
From what I heard.. there will be a new away kit next season, black and blue colour. Current white kit will be re-used again next season as the third kit.

Hi all, I have a doubt wanted to clarify for all this time:

Does 1996-2000 UCL starball = 2000-2003 UCL starball? Any differences?
*
I just did a research at my-fjc forum regarding this matter... My research might not be 100% accurate... so I am willing to listen to any advice on this matter..

From my research.. this was the UCL patch used from 1996 to 2003:

user posted image

But during one season (season 2000-2001), Manchester United and other teams in the UCL used this rare dark silver UCL starball (dark silver compared to the normal shiny white):

user posted image

I might be wrong..... but I am 100% sure that it was used during the 2000-2001 season. Why? I am not sure, maybe because it was the millenium season?

But to prove my statement, take a look at these photos taken during the UCL 2000-2001 season:

My guess... is that on the 2000-2001 season, they used the dark silver version of the UCL starball.

How about the 1997-1998 season?

Looks bright as well...

Finally the 1996-1997:

Looks bright to me as well.....

So to conclude my research... I believe that this rare UCL starball with dark silver layer was used only during season 2000-2001. Why? I am not sure.. maybe because it was on the millenium year perhaps?

It is 100% authentic.

Replica jerseys for that season (1990-1992) and season in the past have embossed adidas trefoil logos. The player issue ones instead have embroidered adidas trefoil logo.. That is 100% authentic, no worries..

You bought it in ebay? That's a great catch btw...

Thanks for the info. I only think to use hand wash and dry it under the sun. Can?
*
Avoid leaving the jersey under the sun.. This will help crack the PU type sponsors.

You can spin dry it and iron it... but be careful when ironing it.. don't iron direct on top of the printed sponsors, nameset etc etc.. read the guide I prepared in the first page (as usual.. to newbies.. already stated in the thread's topic... please read 1st page to see R&R and faq).

i'm planning to do a bulk order for Arsenal away jersey from arsenal.com since it's 50% off now. want to ask if there's anything i should pay attention to or be careful with the bulk order.

i'm quite sure i read somewhere in here something about being careful with the custom when doing a bulk order. something about extra charges applied for the customer when the order reach Malaysia. but i could not find it in the topic. so requesting advice from all the taikos. thanks ya
*
Pay attention on the shipping method. The best safest way is to ensure that the item is sent at least using a signature service (must be signed for by the recipient). Worst come to worst is using Royal Mail International Signed For, which is the equivalent to Pos Daftar in Pos Malaysia. If this is used, at least this is the safest way because Pos Malaysia liaises with Royal Mail UK when a shipped item is sent to and from UK using either Royal Mail or Pos Daftar. 2 different tracking codes will be used (one from Royal Mail and another from Pos Malaysia) to tie the tracking movement of any item.

Another safer way is to use courier such as UPS or DHL. But this is a bit costly.

From what I read in the arsenal.com online store:

QUOTE
P&P Rates    Rest of the World
Under £20  £10.00
Over £20  £18.00

Important: On Europe/Rest of World orders the customer is liable to pay any import duty and any taxes that may be requested.
Non UK orders over 2kg's may incur additional postal costs. You will be notified of any additional costs before despatch. On customer consent your credit card will be charged any additional fees.

ALL Europe/Rest of World orders over 2kg’s will be sent by courier. Any parcels weighing less than 2kg's, sent to a destination that we deem at risk of losing the parcel, will be sent by courier.

Your shipping fee might be £18.00.

If the order is above 2kg, definitely will use courier. But please don't make it above that, for sure you will be taxed because 1 jersey is around 0.3kg (approximately) so imagine how many jerseys are that!

The safe rule is to buy 3 jerseys (most). Ensure that the total price (including shipping) is not more than RM400.. If exceed.. there is a slight risk.. If it is more than RM500.. then you might get taxed. (Mods.. don't worry, I've confirmed this with Malaysian Customs and it is legal to share this info to the public. The customs are happy that we know the general rule).

But as always....... these rules does not 100% guarantee you that you will be taxed. If you are taxed, then it will happen. But try to avoid the risk.

Exactly...... They will most definitely stick to AIG next season, only after 2009-2010 will they have new sponsors

FYI.. that is a repro kit made by Scoredraw. Scoredraw also makes other repros such as the 1968 UCL final kit. Both are authorized by Man United to bear the club's emblem so it is not fake. Reason why that kit has no umbro sponsors because that is not made by umbro and United are no longer associated with umbro.

If you have extra money, better buy the 2nd hand UCL kit rather than that one.. It's not 100% the same like the real one.

A jersey is only used maximum for 2 seasons.. So max would be 2 years only..

Exception goes to the Man Utd 1997-1998 & 1998-1999 UCL home kit. It was re-used again in the 1999-2000 season but with 2 stars and also a special embroidery to celebrate the 1999 UCL finals.
