Just got myself a black unit yesterday ... and good until yesterday evening, suddenly it says "Insert SIM Correctly" and after that, "No Network Coverage" displayed until now. SIM confirmed no problem as tested in other phones. Bluetooth option is washed out as well....

Sigh, I think I am the first unfortunate C901 owner....

i think what u need is firmware update..
glad both silver and black i bought are problem free..

really pity u bro. the only phone i previously had with this prob was z200i but that is history :S

May I know, when you off your phone and take out the back cover, the cam lens is closed (like the K850 when camera is off) or you still can see the lens hole?

no c901 doesnt have that mechanical shutter like digicam or k850..

I don't know whether I saw it wrongly or not, when I just took the phone, it was shut...

But after using the cam for few times, it doesn't shut anymore...I hope I didn't see it wrongly...

I've noticed that my C901 produces stunning photos when used outdoors, but average only when used indoors...

Hope for better update for the camera...huhu

just to let all know, ive posted up some C903 pics @ the C903 section so u can compare C901 and C903. though i think C901 would impress more.

I found that C901's flash tends to create Red Eyes....I had to use software to reduce red eye.

u must understand red eye has nothing to do with C901..

okay, like this...
in the dark, human iris or anak mata usually becomes bigger to "eat" more light.. (to see better)

and during the day, 'anak mata' becomes smaller, because there is already enuf light..

[understand above part 1st, then you'll understand red eye better]
okay, for example, when u drive your car in the dark alley with headlights on, suddenly you see a cat... and if you look carefully, the cat eyes iris become smaller when the headlights beam kena its eyes..

same concept also,
close your eyes about 5 minutes in a dark room, and then open your eyes.
(at this rate, your iris should be bigger already)
suddenly, take your C901 and snap your face with flash (auto)

you'll get the red eye pic.. why? because your big iris actually reflects the flash..

when you turn on red-eye reduction flash
you'll see two pre flash 1st before the C901 actually snap with final flash.
why?? because the two pre-flash are used to "shrink" your iris 1st in that 1.5 seconds intervals..

so that when final flash with actual snap, your iris has become smaller, and less reflects the flash too.. so, less red eyes pic lah..

red eye reduction in compact camera or C901 has nothing to do with software or post processing, it reduce red eyes naturally...

on a side note:
"anak mata" or "iris" has nothing to do with sepet eyes.. dont be confuse..

Just to confirm...there is no Image Stabilizer option right?? Strange...
