i wasn't following DoW2 much, but i remember i read from somewhere that there's an Ork campaign dlc coming. Is it true? I think i read it from PC Gamer mag.

I guess try contacting Steam then.

When did you get your copy?

It was in PC Gamer and they say it will be free.Someone have dig out a bits of the Ork campaign.

There are also hints of a Tau expansion(with a full campaign description in a .ucs file),a Space Marine Land Raider and even a Chaos Dreadnaught.

I think all these things will be released eventually or something that was cancelled but it's highly unlikely,IMO,as the game have a lot of space for future expansions.

One of the skybox files for the current Angle Gate 3v3 map was 1.3.2 as a hint for an Angle Gate based map will be released in later patches.

I really doubt that they just put the Tau,Chaos and an Ork campaign files just for fun.Same thing happen to WA back then,when they put a Tau Fire Warrior and an IG HWT model in WA and Nercons as cameo in the campaign.All these bits were present in the DC.Still there are stuff got cut though,like a Chaos Dreadnaught in SS and IG's unit upgrades in WA.

weird enough that after change setting video or sound the game crashed. Although nothing serious but while testing the sound the game ( i nid keep mess with the setting) keep crash and nid restart, it was really pain in the ass.

I used to have that problem but for some reason,it's gone now,after 1.3.2,i think.

It was quite annoying as i want to watch replays with higher settings as frame rates doesnt really matter when you are watching replays.

Did you play the game before the problem occur?

The game didnt receive much recognition not just because of GFWL and Steam.It was also caused by the radical design which put off a huge amount of the DoW1 players.Also with the technology in the game, as CoH have larger battle scale,tank wrecks,better physics,more units on the field etc that make DoW2 seems mediocre compare to CoH.

With your issue, I've also tried the defragment option and the checking the intergrity of game cache. However sometimes it just needs a kick to its balls.


Sometimes steam goes nuts and thinks that your game isn't updated (when it is) and continues to download that update and not install it until you do several things.


However b4 you do any of these suggestions try to do a backup of the game files. Through steam so in case anything happen atleast you won't have to download 2gbs of patches.

Option 1: go to your dow2 folder in steam try running you dow 2 without using steam. Its locate inside your steam folder under steamapp an common.

Option 2: Force a shut down on the client and then restart it an wait 3 mins b4 trying to start up DoW 2 again.

Option 3: Delete the local content and reinstall everything. (However make sure you make a back up b4 doing this step as it will become quite tedious)

I think option 3 would be the best way to solve it.
Let us know whether you solve the problem. The more DoW2 players, the better

Fine.I start CoH then.Hope RO at least like me.

Nids,pretty good in T1,to be honest.Good micro will reward you.

The problem begins with T2 where Nids always reach T2 later than most race.They dont have enough reqs and power to get anything out fast in T2.Nids get overwhelm easily in T2.

It's like the higher the tech,the weaker the Nids.

Spore Mines are awesome,though.Just realise that they are dirt cheap now.Gonna use them more now.

Im thinking of changing to SM Apoc now. Or at least learn to play another race in case Nids go even screwed in later patches,if there is any.

Haven't try Option 1 and 3 since option 2 is the easiest to do.
Though I agree with option 3 seems like the last best one.

Yes I did until yesterday when I was trying to play the game with the latest patch.

Surprise you can actually read my post lol when I did it, I was in a rush. Anyways don't do the last option till you atleast get a reply from Steam.

However thier replies are mostly the same as my suggestions. Reason is cause it has hppen to others before around the world.

Did try option 1 and nothing happened. Weird...

Now stuck on 'Connecting Steam account:....' o_0

Edit: I decided to uninstall everything and reinstall it and finally able to get back into the game. xD

another possibility was the internet connection in your area was unstable. However if you fix it then no need to worry about it anymore.
