If i were to study in Nilai, upon graduation i would be getting LWTR and i would need roughly around 2 years to get the rating or i need that 2 years to get LWTR... !!
It's making me confused right now  rclxub.gif
*

Correction.
After graduation, you need to collect work schedules for two years working on live aircraft in a Part 145 maintenance organisation, submit to the applicable EASA Authority, only upon acceptance of the work schedules you will be issued the license.
*
ahh..EASA oso need work sched ka??doesn't it for BCAR only?

I take it he's 70+ years old person who is still able to work.. Then he is mentally and physically capable person to perform the duties expected out of him.
Nothing powerful about that unless he can lift the B737 brake units on his own!  tongue.gif

so, in this career next time in the future, we will have to face dirty black oil and hot engines like the car mechanics back in town there?
*
mostly you didn't fix the engine when it still hot (and the engines not always hot)
QUOTE(lionroar @ Mar 17 2010, 12:48 AM)
so, if we have EASA licencse already, do we still have to get our hands onto these engines and oils?
*
nod.gif ~thats y they didn't wear tie and coat to hangar..

i hope there is a thread about NDT career.
just to share you what we did today, it may not up to industrial standard.. anyway, here are some of the pictures..

i think all aircraft maintenance courses should have NDT subject included right?

AHA! Not going to reveal here but I am still directly involved in the aviation industry in a private sector. The aviation circle is 'small' in Malaysia and I have been 'around'.. but lets not get into there!
This thread is for you guys who have interest to take up LWTR and I am here just updating myself with the current happenings. May give a pointer or two as required.
I am still a holder of a valid DCA's AMEL with a type rating endorsement (B737-200 landplanes).
*
A&C holder or Avionics??

Thats where you are wrong..
A&C trade still need to know the avionics trade, we have basic avionics, the mandatory basic digital avionics prior working with digital/fly by wire aircrafts. Attending a type rated course now esp. manufacturer's course will include ALL trades in the same session.

There's no longer a definitive separation between mechanical and avionics trade now.. just limited by your license trades/categories..

Your current instructors fall short of your expectations..? hmm.gif

if i'm working with MAS, i'll find u to gain more knowledge brows.gif

I left MAS in 97.. laugh.gif
Not many of the engineers hang around forums like this one... tongue.gif
Mistakes/errors are okay at this point of time.
We have no room for error when you're exercising your priviledges later..
*
got lot of things i need to learn, means a lot of mistake i might do before there r no room for me to do an error biggrin.gif
