If i were to study in Nilai, upon graduation i would be getting LWTR and i would need roughly around 2 years to get the rating or i need that 2 years to get LWTR... !!
It's making me confused right now

Correction.
After graduation, you need to collect work schedules for two years working on live aircraft in a Part 145 maintenance organisation, submit to the applicable EASA Authority, only upon acceptance of the work schedules you will be issued the license.

You can read and comprehen English?

are you saying AA provides both theory and practical? what about Univeristy of Glamorgan?

hello guys. my friend is going to study this course. but he has a few options in mind. regarding course fee, let's just not take it into mind. of all below, which school has the best reputation in the field?

1. Aviation Australia
2. University of Glamorgan
3. NTU
4. MIAT
5. NILAI
6. APR

METC is not open to public.

This is probably due to a limited vocab on your side..
I take it he's 70+ years old person who is still able to work.. Then he is mentally and physically capable person to perform the duties expected out of him.
Nothing powerful about that unless he can lift the B737 brake units on his own!

wait.... how do we get workschedule when we dont even have a job? and how do we get a job if we're not even a LAME? sorry I still havent get it....
btw, can we get a job in malaysia with EASA license? or we need to convert it to Bcar?

i know this might sound silly... Hope u guys won't be too harsh on me !!      ... After graduating from Nilai with a Dip.. Is there any chances that AA/MAS will recruit us as technician ??

AHA! Not going to reveal here but I am still directly involved in the aviation industry in a private sector. The aviation circle is 'small' in Malaysia and I have been 'around'.. but lets not get into there!

I am still a holder of a valid DCA's AMEL with a type rating endorsement (B737-200 landplanes).

A&C trade still need to know the avionics trade, we have basic avionics, the mandatory basic digital avionics prior working with digital/fly by wire aircrafts. Attending a type rated course now esp. manufacturer's course will include ALL trades in the same session.

There's no longer a definitive separation between mechanical and avionics trade now.. just limited by your license trades/categories..

Your current instructors fall short of your expectations..?

Any LAE should be able to guide/help you out. Just a matter how you approach them.
I left MAS in 97..
Not many of the engineers hang around forums like this one...
Mistakes/errors are okay at this point of time.
We have no room for error when you're exercising your priviledges later..

For pilot its true but not really for LAME bro...
