well, do you have the latest firmware? i would suggest EURO1 firmware. plus you can take silent pics without the shutter sound on.

Ap and ori are different because of their warranties.
*
yeah..Ap and ori different because of their warranty.. but some seller that sell AP phones..they sell different part of N85[how could i explained this]

well the EURO firmware has Cons...cannot read chinese and no chinese language.. nod.gif

How do I get the EURO 1 firmware?? Any idea?
*
firstly you need to change the code using nemesis[not sure that N85 compatible or not]-change to EURO code
then update the firmware as EURO firmware [if NSU detect it as EURO firmware..]but..the warranty will be void if you do this..

kae..when u max the volume when playing a song on your n85, is there any sound distortion? i mean is there any noise coming in at high volume?
*
it has a bit noise...but it also depend on your music file too..

it depends to the bitrate..look at your mp3 files.. if it has 320 bitrate..it is good sound and the sound produce in N85 will be good and less noise

but with worse mp3[i mean lower bitrate] the noise is high..

so it depends to the mp3 files too

So now the sliding phone make me relieved when i am searching or hearing that the OLED screen only can last for 2 years max, when after 2 years you must change a new screen but surely will cost a lot.

Because i am thinking to use this phone the least 3 years if nothing pop out

First phone i interested was N82 but now N85
*
well the OLED screen is known has shorter life..

but look at 7900 prism..until now no complain about the OLED screen...[my aunty use the phone for almost 2 yrs]

QUOTE(in europe discussion nokia forum)
The lifespan tests so far have been on blue OLED displays. They typically last 14,000 hours or roughly 5 years  which is 8 hours a day.

How to delete themes frm phone? Any tricks?
*
there are difficult process...

Added on March 28, 2009, 6:11 pmConnect your phone to the PC with ”Data Transfer” mode or insert your memory card into your card reader.

Open the root folder of your memory card and you should be able to find a folder called ”PRIVATE”. If not make sure to enable ”Show hidden files” in the folder options on your PC.

Now you must find the folder with the name “10207114″.

If you want to delete all the themes installed in the memory card, delete the content inside the “Import” folder.

To delete only one theme, you have to open the “*.skn”-file with notepad and then you will see the name of the theme inside the file. This folder can now be deleted.

Please remember not to delete the “Import” or “Private” folder.

Added on March 28, 2009, 6:12 pmyou can delete through file explorer too

1. Where did u install your themes to? Memeory card or phone memory. I strongly recommend u to install it in memory card as it is easier to remove later.

Do this FIRST if u want to delete themes. If you can't then do kae7's directions.

Go to APPLICATIONS > application manager > scroll down to find the themes that u want to remove > press options > remove.
*
actually this method isnt works sometimes..i have tried this...only certain themes can be deleted

higher mAh spec? yeah got but it's almost always china made and not original nokia. so if the phone is broken because of the batt, warranty void.

not advisable.
*
thats true...
always buy the original BL-5K battery for this N85..

i'm heavy user[camera,mp3..etc] and still can last about 3 days..

but when i use garmin last two weeks.. from kl to johor..the battery only last two days....[but thats okay..]
