The charger ay?
It's abit weird for this phone. For most phones I've tried whenever the phone shuts down because of low battery you can always turn it on for a while longer and it shuts down again. It always has that bit of leftover charge. With this 5800, when the battery is low in charge till the point that it shuts down, it's off for good until you recharge it.
*
It seems that all new nokia phones are like this? i dunno about other brands, but the N82, N73 and i think 6280 that I used are also like this.

So careful once it starts showing battery low, no more like our old 3310 where we can make that once last sms tongue.gif

QUOTE(ionStorm @ Feb 2 2009, 01:17 PM)
Has anyone here ever owned an iPhone, and actually prefer the 5800 over the iPhone?

I've tried this phone out...but it feels like a real lag fest...
*
well..if you have lots of cash and prefer design and style over functionality, by all means go with the iPhone.

I'm going to buy the tube soon, but i also must say that the interface of the tube is nothing compared to iphone. Also iPhone uses a capacitive screen which is very much more responsive than the resistive screen of the Tube. Although u can use a stylus on the Tube and not on the iPhone.

I dun think the Tube is a real lag fest, u probably left the theme effects on. If u turn it off it is quite responsive, though not comparable to the iphone haha.

I don't own an iPhone, but I used it before. I prefer the Tube mainly becos:

1. its half the price
2. u get 640x360 nHD
3. I can actually send an MMS! wow!
4. Symbian which equals Garmin for GPS. iPhone only has google maps if i'm not wrong.
5. Multiple input options.
6. 3.2Mpx camera and 30fps recording.

and may I stress again that its half the price of an iPhone tongue.gif

i heard removing the cover in a bathroom is better cos its humid and there's little to no dust there..

Don't wanna get dust trapped under the screen of ur lovely tube right? tongue.gif

QUOTE(kae7 @ Feb 4 2009, 12:56 AM)
so thats mean we need thicker than that measurement right.?
*
too thin and u can scratch the screen easily
too think and u lose responsiveness of the touch screen.

Well so far i'm using skool sp, and so far so good. Though it does not entirely fit the screen of 5800 unlike the martin fields one.

There sp is slightly smaller than the screen.

I think X1 also RM2.6k-RM2.8k only right? haven't reach the RM3k mark smile.gif

QUOTE(aspire2oo6 @ Feb 4 2009, 02:13 PM)
hello if wanna compare then compare apple to apple.

How can u compare 5800 with a 3k phone. For the 5800 price tag it beats RM3k phone.
*
I think what he's trying to say is our 5800 for its price, features and value it is even comparable to an RM3k phone tongue.gif

I haven't sleep yet too tongue.gif

I must say after testing Garmin on my N82, I can officially throw Nokia Maps away.

Hopefully they will release a version compatible with 5800. For now i'll try to install it with virtual keys.

Rojak, you mean store sms in phone memory?

Btw, i saw new testing firmware out (11.0.009)...wonder if any1 try it yet.
*
I do realize on my N82, lag is much more apparent when I store sms in my memory card.

If i use phone memory, it goes very fast.

QUOTE(Fazz @ Feb 6 2009, 04:53 AM)
wey, juz bank-in my 4.5k cheques yesterday's morning, plan to get 1 tube next week..
i oso decide between tube n n82 n since i oledi got dSLR, i go for tube..
but 1 question, i always go adventure on wikend, like to PD, redang, pangkor n all, n at da time frequent use of nfon.
is tube a better choice 4 this situasi?
afraid if scratch or sumthing coz of the sandy n foresty environment.
*
If you want to say scratches, N82 is also quite prone to scratches since the whole body is made of shiny plastic. The back of my N82 has lots of small scratches >.<

Especially the camera shutter for N82 is very easy to peel off.

For 5800, the back is rubber so it wont scratch, but maybe easy to get dirty. Only the sides are shiny plastic, for the screen if ur using a screen protector it should be no problem.

Only obvious advantages of N82 over the tube is its 5 Mpx camera w/ xenon flash and also 3d graphics accelerator for ngage games.

But since u have a dslr and if u dun play games, I'd say get the tube over N82. The big beautiful screen is a very good welcome for watching movies when you are travelling smile.gif
