QUOTE(bernardryan @ Nov 18 2009, 03:46 PM) Um.. might drop a lil more but dont expect it to drop until like 1k. Also, when it drops further, expect this model to be phased out by then. yeah, even now it's already a bit hard to get at some shops. one of the shops i checked out at my hometown doesn't offer touch pro already. starting to bring in the newer ones.QUOTE(hsienhsien @ Nov 18 2009, 04:20 PM) is it a wise decision to downgrade from diamond 2 to touch pro? because bored of touch screen ady.. need qwerty keypad to performs better text msg speed:) if you don't mind a smaller screen and a lower mp camera, i think the touch pro should fit you well not aiming for touch pro2? QUOTE(bernardryan @ Nov 20 2009, 01:01 PM) Don't whine about whether it will be phased out or not. What you have to look at is your investment vs your usage. If you are gonna spend 3k for a device and you really enjoy and love it and it actually makes you a happier/more efficient/nicer person, then i dont see why its expensive. Same goes for a 2k device. i totally agree with your statement As the saying goes "Money isn't money till its spent". But just be wise in your decision. If waiting will enable you to make a better decision, then so be it. when i bought my tp, that time it was quite over my budget, but i decided to go ahead instead, and i never regretted it. now i have all my appointments on my tp, birthdays, etc etc. really helps a lot. have to be wise in making decision and spending the money lor, if overspend then must know how to cover back |

if change also i think the same colour only. no different colours like nokia
another alternative is to skin the phone probably would be cheaper too |

well i wouldn't say that it's problem free, there's still some minor bugs here and there, but the main functions are working well.

QUOTE(Shufflerz @ Dec 25 2009, 08:56 PM) I tested it for quite sometime already. yeah, agree with that. my first custom ROM was energy, at first it seemed ok, but then there were lots of advanced features which i didn't use, so now change to TAEL. before TAEL i was using some HD ROM..forgot the exact name..that was ok too, but too bad no Manila 2.5. Really like Manila 2.5! After I confirmed that there's no problem with Touch Pro, only I share with the public. I'm using TALE Sense Edition as well currently. 1 thing I like about the ROM is because its clean/stock enough. Unlike Energy, too fancy already and started to screw up already on recent release. The chief didn't make sure everything is running nicely, he only release all the way only when got any new update. |

yeah it auto detects. i'm on maxis too. when 1st boot, it'll ask in the config window, to choose maxis or maxis 3g. i personally go with maxis instead of 3g, and turn off all 3g data connections, so that my credit won't run out

QUOTE(cypher @ Jan 14 2010, 06:08 PM) which custom ROM actually is the most stable one? i hate to use EnergyROM already...after use sometime..it starting get so lag... TAEL's one is pretty good too, there's no rom that's most stable. bound to be some bugs somehow somewhere. i was using energy too last time, found that it's too advanced, many features that i dont use there's another one which i used, but i forgot what's the exact name of the rom. that one's quite ok too. |

oh yeah, now i remember. the other one i used was chrome. yeah chrome isn't bad at all, less advanced features, and looks quite close to stock rom, which i like
just that some features are missing. |

there's a few processes that you would need to go through.
as 6.5 isn't officially supported by HTC, so there's no 6.5 ROM for the touch pro by HTC, therefore you would need to put in a custom 6.5 rom. 1. you have to hardSPL your touch pro, i don't really know how to explain it, but it's something like unlock your phone to make it able to be flashed with custom rom. 2. checkout other forums like xda-developers, they have many custom roms for various phones, check out the ones for touch pro. 3. see which ever rom that suits you best, download and then follow the instructions as posted by the xda-developers members. http://forum.xda-developers.com/forumdisplay.php?f=440 checkout this thread too before you do anything. http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=448008 i hope this helps |
