because i thought you are talking about the profile button instead of the supported games, and there are people who really willing to fork out that much money for a mouse, after all a higher DPI mouse is better for larger screen

Most people are on a 1366x768 resoulution TV, it's not about the size.
You don't need a 2000 dpi and above mouse to move at that resolution. Heck, a ball mouse does the job just fine. Are there people that freaking lazy to even move 1 inch of their wrist? rolleyes.gif

Even on a 1080p TV, a regular optical mouse works just as well.
Heck, the R3 analog stick works just as fine.

guys, do you have problem login to psn? i can get connection since yesterday.. keep 'timed out' je...
*
Ever since last Friday, shitmyx going through their so called upgrading service.
Most of the times cannot login, even if can login... theres a high chance of being disconnected.

Keep waiting, keep trying. Thats all you can do.

maybe you are just too hardworking to move your hard here and there just to navigate the cursor on the TV doh.gif

it is not about the pixels, it is about the size of the TV, unless you are saying that you zoom out or zoom in the internet browser then it is different, if you see if in full size, higher dpi mouse will sure benefit from it, or you are thinking that higher dpi mouse is for lazy people and only for gaming? doh.gif doh.gif

Lulz....

Don't believe? I once ran a cursor across a 150" screen with a flick of my wrist using a standard optical logitech mouse (the ones which cost RM20, not those G9/G5/MX etc.), the screen resolution is 720p.
Get your facts right dude.

Considering you are in apiit, I thought you'd know this man.

QUOTE(vince_teh @ Jun 19 2009, 11:49 PM)
did anyone face this problem
my controller unable to charge even connected with usb already...
why??
*
Reset your controller by pressing the button at the back with a needle for 3 seconds.

See if that does anything or not.
If not, chances are... the USB port of your controller has got some issue.

because you cant get what i mean.

from what i want to say is, there is not restriction to which type of mouse you use for internet browsing on PS3, is just like why there are some people who willing to fork out more money to buy a better cable for their PS3, then why cant i buy fork out more money to buy a better mouse??
*
You still don't get it do you?

No one said you can't buy a Razer Mamba/Logitech G9/Steel Series Ikari/whatever gaming mouse you dream of.
We're implying that WE DO NOT NEED a gaming mouse just to freaking surf on the net with the PS3 okay. You want to buy a gaming mouse just for surfing on the PS3, go ahead. But we're just saying there is no need for one. Learn to read, learn to understand, learn to accept ok?

same here. These few days experiencing psn connectivity prob. Heard that streamyx is doing something. When i first got my ps3 same thing happens, i tot i configured wrongly.
*
It's been like this all week.
Today the connection to PSN seems to be almost as good as 2 weeks ago. Not much of disconnections, but still take quite a little bit of time to load up your friends list.

Steramyx is undergoing their so called "maintenence upgrade", again.

so, what's the latest "update" to streamyx?  unsure.gif

The latest update is that they got suckier, trying to reach the goal of being the absolute worst amongst the worst ISP in the entire planet.

I'm on right now.
No disconnections does far to PSN.

What I can tell you guys is that to connect to the IP range stated for your place.

And try to avoid 124.xxx ips. That's utter crap.

Problem with DiGi is that they have bandwidth cap.
Which is a big, big problem for me.

FAT32 is a file system on your HDD. Usually now a days every HDD is automatically formatted into NTFS, the one which XP, Vista, Windows 7 supports without limits.

PS3 can only recognize external storage devices which are formatted under FAT32. So use a utility like SwissKnife to format your HDD into FAT32.

If you know how to re-encode and do proper conversion, no it won't affect you video quality by much, if at all. File size is a different matter however.

HI, need some advice here
Can anyone recommend me which bluetooth headphone+mic I can use to pair with my ps3? which is cheap (less than RM50 maybe) and where can i get those?

THank you
*
At less than RM50, you aren't going to get a very good BT headset.
You can find some cheapo BT headset in LYP The Hub.

But I'd suggest you just pony up another RM50 to get your budget into the RM100 range. Then get a reasonably good BT headset.

If not, just use a USB mic.

guys how much would it cost roughly if to repair hdmi port?
*
Around RM80-RM150.
It depends.

It may not be the HDMI port being faulty, instead the silicon HDMI chip.
If that's the one at fault, unfortunately only Sony can fix them.

Today, i want to 1 game shop asking bout the PS eye. The shop owner told me that actually pc webcam aslo can act as PS eye. Is it true???

Is there anyone really uses pc webcam as replacement for PS eye? It 's compatible for the game like aquarium? (don really know the game's name) Please share ur view or experience.

TQ
*
Yes it's true.
I'm using a Logitech webcam. Infact most USB webcams should work fine with the PS3.

And yes it is compatible with games that has the PS Eye support.

Ahh yes, thats right.
Forgot to state that out as well. The upcoming game Eye Pet, you'd sadly need the PS Eye for the 120hz to detect your movements.

yesterday,when i exit internet browser at ps3,my ps3 hang...after i wait 5 minute,i turn of my ps3,and then i hear 2 beep sound....some1 can explain??
*
Nothing to worry about.
It's just a force shutdown procedure when you turn off your PS3 whilst something is still running. Especially when the data is cache onto the PS3's memory.

Similar to how you force restart/shutdown your PC if Windows hang.

Need details on your speaker, what are you using?

If it has 1 aux-input, which is currently used of course. You can get an aux-splitter. Then get 1 Y-splitter to connect your PS3 to the aux-splitter, and the other audio input to your PC.

Aux-splitter can be bought from carrefour at around RM5.

I also heard the PS9 will come by the year of 2011.
Where the console would be a sphere and we'll be in the game itself.

hmmm, where can i buy PS3 cooling fans system ? i google it, there is alot cooling thingy......hope our malaysia shop seller can bring in those good item, reduce heat problem^^
*
Those don't reduce heat a whole lot, nor do they do much of a difference.
But rather they waste your money.

People get the fake impression that theres alot of air coming out when they attach a third-party external cooler.
Really, what you are feeling is the air coming out from the COOLER, not the PS3. So, it's basically not helping much if at all to improve the PS3's cooling. Infact in some extreme cases, you'd actually spoil the efficiency of the PS3's cooling instead.

If you really want to improve your PS3's cooling, the only way to do so with improved significant results is to do a little modding. Like for example by switching to a better TIM (thermal interface material) such as Tuniq TX-2 or Artic Cooling MX-2 on the Cell and RSX as well as other corresponding chips. There are OEM fans which are the size of the PS3's and some of them are really really powerful. Changing to that will also help.

If you're going to more extreme lengths, water cooling mod is the best way to go.

So unless you are dedidcated to really improve your PS3's cooling, then keep that RM40-RM70 that you'd spend on a third-party cooler.
