oh tempat tu. Semua orang langgo kalau lambat brake lol. Well I am making a league for this, but basically this will cater for arcaedish people, so the rule will be more lax than MSR (ie they can turn on assist). Tapi yang penting, ko tetap tukang setup keter bagi aku

To show why IGN was so interested with the "moving cockpit" in the inside car view, let me show you why using gMotor2's other sim
The head movement is relative to the speed of the car and the G Force, thus it CAN make certain people nauseous |

QUOTE(TypeR @ Sep 12 2009, 04:26 PM) Indeed, but then again gamers are looking at anything that would give them the edge lolQUOTE(hilmiangah @ Sep 12 2009, 04:28 PM) rfactor pun can with keyboard, tapi tak feel la lol. I spent nearly 5 years playing those ISI based games with keyboard before going to wheelAnyways, for anyone who are interested in the league, go to http://forum.lowyat.net/topic/1160339 |

QUOTE(Cheesenium @ Sep 12 2009, 04:50 PM) Yea,wheel does give an edge on driving, but wont it be damn hard to drive in rFactor with a keyboard? There are assist such as traction control and steering assist. But since the league I join ban all assist, kinda hard to driveIt's like playing SF4 with a keyboard. |

sadly steering bug where how much you steer in real life does not translate to in game kinda turns me off. I like how in rFactor and LFS how much I turn in real life is how much the steering turns in game

QUOTE(Kidicarus @ Sep 14 2009, 10:44 AM) Guess that won't be bothering me that much since I plan to play using an xbox joypad. I suppose it would be a big deal if you're using a racing wheel but I'm very excited about all the visual tricks they're using to give the illusion of inertia, g-force etc. lol most of my racing games are locked to incar view during multiplayer so can't do much. But if you really want to see inertia...Damn expensive month for games - already got beatles rock band, now shift, dirt 2 and batman all coming out at the same time. Usually this is what I get from open wheelers |

QUOTE(Kidicarus @ Sep 14 2009, 12:24 PM) The off road mod still seems floaty to me while the open wheeler showed more convincing wobble though it seemed a bit random to me - but what do i know, i've never done rally driving or open wheel driving in real life Sadly for you, not only this game engine is used for NFS SHIFT (gMotor2) but also powers the most advanced F1 simulators for BMW.Sauber, McLaren, Red Bull, Williams, Toyota F1, and also Schumacher's private simulator at his home in Germany :3. Head movement is relative to the car's G, but can be edited to suit normal people. Turn it on at 100% and you'll be puking your innards 5 minutes into drivingI think what they are trying to do in shift is slightly more sophisticated than adding wobble effects to the cockpit. It's like comparing Mirror's Edge and other standard FPSs - you can tell from Mirror's edge that they were trying to convey the feeling of free running on rooftops to the game. On a side note, I think there was some input from DICE who developed Mirror's edge into this game. Graphics was toned down to let me have some drivable FPS during recording This post has been edited by linkinstreet: Sep 14 2009, 12:33 PM |

QUOTE(Invince_Z @ Sep 14 2009, 01:06 PM) selagi tak pegang kat tgn selagi tu rilek dulu lolQUOTE(Kidicarus @ Sep 14 2009, 01:07 PM) It did look pretty ugly in the videos you posted. Thought it was some heavily modded ol skool engine (it really did look like the Indy 500 from the 16bit days). Guess you still learn something new everyday. My original post about cars lacking feel is from playing previous racers where i could never really get into the feel of actually driving the car from the in car view. Would be interesting to see what 100% head movement looks like. I've never been one to suffer too much from simulated momentum - even from those high tech sim rides they have at disney. NP mate. I always have this preferences of turning down the graphics to have better FPS. Try asking the GRID players here where they saw my PC and was suprised to see no HDR or motion blur effect. Thanks for correcting me though. If anything I'm even more hyped up for shift now. |
