Before you flash your radio make sure you have flashed your HardSPL to 1.93 Unsigned. For more info read the thread below
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=416211

I get the radio from here

It's not because of WM6.5, it depands on many factors.
I'm on a WM6.5 now and my battery is normal.
EnergyROM series are good, I'm on an EnergyROM "Magic" now.
I won't tell you that it is the best nor will I recommend to you any, it's all depands on the user.

There are not alot, I've read all of them.
Try start with the stickies first.
Try THIS, THIS and THIS.
*
I've edited the Pagepool to 14mb for my device speed porposes.

For me I prefer BsB WM6.5 ROM, It's almost clean ROM and I install whatever I want to install and after all instalation my device storage still have 47.17mb left where Origininally after install It have 121.04mb.

My RAM Still have 49% (in MB 51.55mb) Free

Version OF BsB 6.5 Best rom for me BsB65M

Stuff That I Installed in My Device are Stated Below
1. Sunglobe Fonts
2. HTC Rhodium Volume Control
3. VideoTelephony_Diamond
4. WM6.5 4 Columns StartMenu
5. BsB_Manila_UPDEn (TF3D V.1)
6. TCPMP-0.72RC1 (DivXPlayer)
7. TCPMPflvplugin-v0.4.3
8. tsowentaskbar6 WM6.5 version
9. CyberonVoiceSpeedDial_EN

Stuff that installed in Internal Storage
1. SKTools
2. Garmin Mobile XT
3. NFS Undercover (GSensor Version) Working Fine
4. NavTetris (GSensor Version) Working Fine

And I've been using for around 2 months now, (touch wood)no hangs, never soft reseted yet till last week for trying BsB ROM version N,O,P and Q but still I've found M version was the best.
Other ROM I tested including EnergyROM, DeepShining and few others's ROMs that come with TF3D V.2 all of them Memoru Cruncher and always out of memory when I launch Garmin.

For some reason BsB65 ROM Greater than M are still very stable and not a RAM Cruncher and other ROMs that I've tried they seems to cook in SensorSDK V.3 or V.4 that incompatible with NFS Undercover.

u should actually soft reset once a day to clear your cache and any bad memory blocks. like a PC if u on and dont off after a few days sure slows down
*
Actually I've edited the pagepool to 14mb (where Diamond Stock ROM come with 6MB) and I did not suffer any lagginess or slow, Tjis BsB ROM the chef cooked in with RAM Sweeper so if the memory resident apps footprint are too high, I just run the RAM Sweeper to reclaim back the unused RAM, and it works flawlessly smile.gif

Large pagepool will give you a smoother response because the important files are cached into the RAM before they are even requested for use. Larger pagepool will however, leave less RAM for applications to run on.
*
Yep I do know about that but 49% free are more then enough for me to run few apps without closing smile.gif

One problem here guys, after flashing to WM6.5 yesterday, i had been getting quite a number of "No Service" problem on my TD. Before, i never had such problem. Needed to restart and for it to seek for the network before i am able to get back the service but after a while, it goes to "No Service" again. Any idea of the problem here? Could it be that my radio version is incompatible with the ROM?
*
The radio I'm using so far so good you can try it too, my radio version is 1.11.25.01.

Alright, downloaded the 1.11.25.1 version. But when i tried to flash, it says it will flash my ROM from BsB to 1.83. Is that needed? Shall i be concern with that?
*
Just flash it it won't mess up your OS cause this radio flashing does not have any OS within the flash.

I've found out the problem why most wm6.5 + TF3D V2 ROM always out of memory.

1. TF3D V2 are meant for HTC new devices such as Touch Diamond 2, Touch PRO 2

2. Those new devices come with Base device storage 512mb and RAM 256mb so this new TF3D V2 are optimized for those devices.

3. Our Touch Diamond only come with 256mb base device storage and RAM 128mb are not enough to run Fancy TF3D V2.

4. Solution for this is, if we do want to run TF3D V2 on out Touch Diamond Devices, the ROM must be a clean ROM with no fancy background.

I've personally tested it while cooking WM6.5 + TF3D V2 ROM, so my last decision is leave the ROM as Clean as possible meaning to say, no fancy Colorful Background, No Colorful TF2D V2 icons then we manage to use WM6.5 + TF3D V2 with average memory usage of 72% - 75%.

The moment I apply the Background of Startmenu and TF3d V2 to Colourful Background the memory usage shift up to 82% to 89% and that's bad cause we can merely run other large application such as Garmin.

If I keep the background clean the memory usage are average at 72% to 75% and that's acceptable.

Hope this will help us all in seeking good WM6.5 + TF3D V2 ROM for our device.

what makes u think Im a sunway college student laugh.gif and im not tongue.gif

question

whats the diff between GPS Intermediate Driver and GPS COM (port) :4 , :7 ?
how to use the HTC GPS Tool? actually I dont know how to use it, theres only open port, start test
*
Here's the screen capture of how to enable and use garmin intermediate driver
And the difference in between GPS Intermediate Drivers and Com port is

1. Using COM Port 4 = Use TD Internal GPS Antena to search for satalite and this you have to wait a long time to log on the satalite on cold acquiring (Device after soft reset)

2. Using GPS Intermediate Driver = TD uses the Celular Tower + The Quick GPS downloaded info to mark where's your location is then acquiring for satalite, no matter you are logging in to satalite in cold log-in(device just soft reset) or warm log-in (device log in to satalite before and have not yet soft reset) the acquiring for GPS will be a lot faster, with the help of celular tower + the downloaded quickGPS info data.

I wonder, is maps for GPS software like Garmin or MapKing is actually freeware? I am trying to search is there actually any freeware maps for GarminXT, cause i have been seeing some from Malsingmaps but they seem to require a key (even though written as free).
*
Yes Malsingmaps are free, but in order to use it for free you have to contribute 2 Points Of Interest(POI) or 2 New Tracks that are previously not in Malsingmaps and send it to the Malsingmaps Admin's with your email address and they will send you a link to download the newest maps of your location(Peninsula Malaysia, Sabah or Sarawak) and together the ways to unlock it specifically for your Garmin Set.

is it bttr using GPS Intermediate Driver or com 4?which is better? does this make allot of diffrence in signal?
*
By what I've explained at previous post has stated very clear so you want to try it or not it's really depending on yourself. biggrin.gif

Edited :-

It's not the signal I'm talking about, if you are inside a building, of course you can't log on to GPS Satalite. The quick GPS downloaded data didn't state it was the signal also, it's your location that matters in order for your device to log in to the satalite. brows.gif

Well, the thing i do not like about GoogleMaps is because they need you to be connected to the internet in order to be able to use them. By any chance to configure it not needing a connection and act like the usual GPS software like Garmin/Mapking?
*
I don't think so, cause the maps vectors are downloaded online from google.

Thanks alot for clarifying akachester. smile.gif

How do we access the HLKM file? I cant seem to find it in my phone? And is Win6.5 much better than 6.1? What is the procedure of flashing your device? Kinda new with PDA phone here. lol.

Added on August 19, 2009, 2:08 amAnd guys, one more thing. How do we install the .NET compact framework on diamond?
*
Accessing to HKLM or HLMK, if HKLM it is short form of Registry HKEY LOCAL MACHINE, in order to access that file you have to install registry editor to your device.

Yes WM6.5 are better than WM6.1 but with TF3D V2 it temps to crunch too much memory but if with Titanium(WM6.5 CHome) or TF3D V1 the memory usage are OK.

For Flashing your TD there 2 type of ways,

1. Flash from RUU Utility(Either from HTC or form XDA Dev.) through your PC USB to your TD

2. Flash from Internal Storage(Recommended safer way to flash)

3. If flashing Official ROM RUU Utility from HTC will be ok

4. If you are flashing a Custom Cooked ROM other then Official you have to flash your HardSPL to custom HardSPL 1st befor you can flash any Custom Cooked ROM to your TD.
