I'm browsing through the wiki. Seems like we only have to play the game 3x instead of the previously assumed 5x.
As weapon upgrades with demon souls do not contribute to any trophy, we only need the souls for magic - Freke, Yuria and Urbain.

have trophy.. obtain all valueable weapon... this one includes boss weapon ...

where is sage freke? i been running all over the tower and he keeps telling me to help him, but i can't find him. do i have to kill all the bosses in area 3 to save him or what?

Freke is located in jail at floor 2 tower of latria stage 1... u open the jail..u need some special key that obtained beside idols fools manipulator.. after that freke will join u at nexus

Sage Freke is on the 3rd floor. You just have to get the key next to the manipulator and release him from the prison. The one calling out for help is Rydell, which is the harder one to release from prison.

edit: Eh? Floor 2 kah? I thought it was 3.

In regards to Ostrava:

There are two ways you can go about handling Ostrava. The items involved are Lune Sword, Lune Shield, Mausoleum Key, and Pure Clearstone (not sure about the exact translation of the stone, its called 純粋なみなぎ石 in Japanese; I'm going off based on the name in the Trophy list- be aware that the exact 'stone' name might be wrong)

If you kill him you can get the Mausoleum Key which will lead you to Old King Doran (it opens the door guarded by the red-eyed knight in 1-1). Where you can get other cool weapons. However, if you kill him you will miss the rarest Clearstone. Which you'll need if you want to create the highest level weapon with that stone (and receive the corresponding Trophy).

You can save him and get all the items as well, however you must save him 3 times.

He will be in:
1.) 1-1: Save Ostrava in the courtyard
2.) 1-2: Save Ostrava from under the bridge
After you beat the one of the final area boss in the other areas you will be able to go to 1-3:
3.) 1-3: Save Ostrava by the gate being attacked by two red-eyed Knights (If he dies in combat here you'll need to pick up the Mausoleum Key from his corpse or you'll miss it).

At 1-4 before the elevator you will meet Ostrava in Dark Phantom form, by killing him you will get the Lune Sword and Lune Shield. You will also get the Mausoleum Key.

Almost close to what I did but not exactly.

I did save him 3 times. The 3rd time, he gave me the Pure Clearstone.

After that, I met him at the entrance of the Old King, he spoke to me a while, gave me the Mausoleum Key (to get Demonbrandt) and he suicide.

Later a Phantom form of him appears at the end of the gate. Cast Acid Cloud on him and ran away. lol. Died after a few minutes. Got his Sword and Shield.

guys, some questions regarding the game.

- is there any mandatory installation before starting the game?
- does this game use voice-over instead of dialogues?

holy crap, i messed up myself 'died' during Phalanx fight and all the money, uh I mean souls are lost and can't be found nearby

after 2nd restart I beat up that fugly thing with turpentines+sword, and damn this game is hard..but in a good way though is there any reward aside being revive?

shortly after revive, got killed by dragon's claw just ahead of the bridges

i dun understand what u asking.... but there is gold trophy which need u to collect all valueable weapon... so this means u need to craft each of demons souls ultimate weapon such morion and etc...

or the boss weapon not even considered as valueable weapon?.. i think.. it should be valueable

thanks for the head up incx hopefully it is frustrating + addictive like the Ehrgeiz quest mode. damn hard but totally addictive well, in office now, will check it out later

if u revive... the only thing benefits u is full HP bar and high defense....and make ur place white tendnecy which mean.. the monster become weaker...and crystal gecko easy to reappear...
