i can't remember the details , but apart from the important lotuses she does sell a reasonable armor for your knight, the parameters more or less those of a fluted armor.
there are some rotten arrows too that can't be sold anywhere else........

my magic rather week, maybe 1000 - 1200, cannot remember. i did play around with the will parameter. it increased my mp, physical defence and slot. it didn't really boast any extra significant power since i focus more on physical damage.

if you upgrade your parameters, notice there is a called "will".
it consists of mp point, physical defence and magic slot.
to cast a magic you need to learn, then you need to remember. it's like the old AD&D that you have to memorise the spell.
and to remember a spell you need to have enough slot to fill it in. simple magic like soul arrow/light needs only a single slot, more powerful magic like total protection requires 2 slot.
to cut it short.

1. learn magic
2. remember magic
3. equip a wooden wand on your L

You can get a wand early in the game in 1-2 in one of the towers. but you must survive the red dragon first, good luck!

lvl 50 is more than enough. i took him at 20+, but got help la...

try to learn the total protection spell, it really significantly reduce your damage.

i guess you just have to have enough stamina to run to the end of the bridge out of the dragon's breath. make sure to avoid the arrows (running in zigzag manner does help). upon arrival, kill the 3 archers when they are vulnerable during reload. it is important to do so before initiating the battle with the 2 knights behind.

to beat the tower knight is quite easy, in fact i got a full hint from youtube. first clear the archers above, then face the tower knight by hitting at the heels from behind. when he falls, hit the head.

I managed to get my life back after putting demon's soul on hold. I intend to go through my 3rd time later. Was playing Valkyria Chronicles till they announced DLC sometime in spring. There are circulating rumours regarding a trophy patch, so gotta put the game on hold too.
Now playing RE5, and yea, I'm also waiting for Sacred2. Then again, I'm also waiting for X-edge, and the new Artelier!!!

It seems that your soul level is rather low at the moment, try to buff up on def and stamina. Or alternatively avoid the knight's strike as his movement is rather slow. Lock on him and try to circle behind him.

u know what, after completing the game 2x i still don't know how to bow. so how do i do that?

i replayed demon's soul, with my current attempt for platinum. it was then that i remembered how difficult this game was, and still is today. so frustrating!!
