Hm. How do you get pass the door after beating the Tower Knight? Requires some Giant soul or something...
Currently playing like a chicken, lol. Scared to lose my soul again since now I'm back to human form.

If that's the case, I'll just write up a short review about this game, for the benefits of those who's in doubt of getting this game.
I'll break it down into a few sections, like they always do. GRAPHICS - 7/10 If you're looking for fantastic graphics, then you'll be disappointed that this game may not be up to par. Seriously, when I was watching some of the videos on youtube, I was actually thinking twice whether I should be getting this game because it looks so dull and plain. However, playing and watching it is a totally different story. Dungeon and world details are decent, but the boss' designs, they can totally rock your socks off. I would have given it a 6 if it's not because of the monster designs. Otherwise, there's no load times during gameplay (a definite plus plus), although there can be framerate slowdowns when there's too much going on the screen at one time. And if I were to compare it to White Knight Chronicles, there's seriously a big gap between these 2 games in term of graphics. WKC is definitely better. GAMEPLAY - 9/10 If you're the kind of gamer who wants an easy going game, this is definitely not the game for you. I don't have to elaborate that since everyone here already know how it's like. You can see the frustration of some of LYN members here yourself. Just be prepared to die a lot of times in the beginning, and going through the frustration of starting all over again. Otherwise, you start off by creating a character of your own. Character creation is o-kay. Not as bad as Fallout 3 but not as good as WKC. A decent one. However, there's many classes for you to choose from, each with their pros and cons. They are no tutorials in this game, so it's all try and error. Learning curve takes about an hour or so. The menu is simple and the controls are easy to manage. Camera angles are pretty good, not much of an issue here. This game uses a currency called Souls. Basically you go around the world killing demons and gathering souls, which you use them to upgrade weapons, buy items, buy magic skills, so on and so forth. If you lose in battle, you'll lose all your Souls. However, you get to redeem them back by going back to the spot that you died in game, there will be a patch of blood (your character's blood) on the floor, click on it to reclaim the Souls back. If you die before getting back to the spot, then that's the end of your Souls. Start from 0 again. Generally, this game requires you to kill Demons by thinking strategically, level up, get new items and hunt for minerals for upgrades until you've killed them all. STORYLINE - 6/10 Nothing new. You're the hero that saves the world from the Demons. MULTIPLAYER - 7/10 I'm sure most of you are interested in this mode. It's a unique and interesting mode to play with, but you'll have to accept the new concept here. Before the start of the game, you'll automatically be logged unto the server if you're connected to PSN. Once you're in the game, you don't actually see characters in the game with you. You'll see "Phantoms" running around. Phantoms are actually other players who are playing the game the same time as you are. They'll appear a while in game and disappear. Having these phantoms around actually gives you some clue on where to head on next. Players who died in game will leave a pool of blood as well. You can view how they died by touching their blood, so gives you clues on what to be done and not. You can also leave messages or hints, vice versa. Now, the fun part is that there's an item that can be collected, which allows you to summon other players from their game to join yours. But that last only a while. So they're usually summoned during boss encounters. I'm not sure how many can you summon in game, but I've summoned at least 2 person to join me in battle before. You can't chat in game. No text or voice chatting. You can only do gestures, similar to WKC. Otherwise, even bring up the gesture menu is a hassle. You have to press the O button for at least 2 secs before it pops up. The drawback of this is that, if you're half way battling a boss, and Streamyx decides to give you trouble, you'll automatically be disconnected from the server and you have to start the battle all over again. Otherwise, you can opt to play offline. REPLAY VALUE - 8/10 I'm sure you would want to try out other classes as well. This game is definitely worth your money since you can spend loads of time on it. OVERALL RATING - 8/10 That's all I can comment about it at the moment. Hope this little review works for you guys. This post has been edited by incx: Mar 1 2009, 11:52 PM |

What the crap man... someone just logged unto my game and slashed the crap out of me. >.>' I didn't know you could do that. Best of all, he bowed in front of me first before starting attacking me. Started chasing me all over the map and I'm running around like a chicken that's gonna be slaughtered.

Well, I still can't get through the large door. Haha.
By the way, do keep the souls of the demons you've slayed. Don't use it coz' in the later stages, you can exchange them for powerful magics. I used the Tower Knights soul and now I can't unlock the protection spell since you can't use normal souls to buy it. It can only be bought by a single Tower Knight soul. On a side note, I went to someone's world and killed him. lol. Managed to get my body back. Seems a bit bad but quite entertaining... especially when the other person sees you and starts to run off like how I did initially. This post has been edited by incx: Mar 2 2009, 10:54 PM |

Hm.... toughie. There's a couple of doors that I want to open as well, in Boletravia Castle.
There's a door, just right before entering the Tower Knight's area, it's a passage to the underground but I just don't know how to open it. Another place is the area where it's guarded by a high leveled lance guard who can kill you in an instance if you confront him face to face. There's a giant door there as well. |

QUOTE(nwk @ Mar 3 2009, 04:57 PM) he died because he was just sitting there at the nexus and didn't want to claim back his body. of course, i have heard ppl who killed him on purpose to get his stuff. anyway my temple knight is now level 30, i have repaired my armor and upgraded my b@stard sword to +5 and my scimitar to +6. with my stats, it's now more easier to fight in stonefang. You should upgrade it to Quality Scimitar instead. After that, each upgrades +8 attack instead of +4 for the regular Scimitar. |

Haha. I was just trying out what it was... coz' I was curious how it would affect the weapon's performance so I just gave it a shot. Once it's upgrade, other materials will be needed for its upgrade. But definitely worth it.
There is a Meltdown ore to revert it back to its original state, but yea, a bit wasted after spending so many ores on the current one. |

B@stard sword a bit too bulky for me. Since I chose thief, I have to use both arms to carry it. I'm still using scimitar and yes, I can whack 4 monsters at one go once and kill them all.
I used my Fool's Idol soul for Soul Light skill. Fantastic magic. It can hit multiple enemies simulataneously if they're near each other. Can bounce left and right. This post has been edited by incx: Mar 3 2009, 08:19 PM |

You have to save Sage Freke from the prison first. Then he will appear in Nexus. Find the Prison of Hope Special Key to unlock his prison gate. I think if I'm not mistaken, the key was from where the manipulator of Fool's Idol was sitting, hanging on the wall.

Wow. Someone was actually summoned online to be the Yellow Monk. Had to battle a real person to beat him as the Demon Boss.

If you play online, you can actually be the Demon boss as well. You can use the Blueeye stone, the Yellow monk would summon you and you'll be the Demon boss. You'll have to wait in the tower until the other player from his world to come and battle you.

Yea, a very unique idea indeed. Really big props to the person who designed this game.
He actually summoned an axe wielder. One strike and I'm left with little hit points. Thank goodness he's as slow as a cow. Since I'm using thief, I'm running around slashing him once he lands his axe on the ground. Haha. |
