With the young players at the club, I'm a bit more confident about our future after SAF retires, short(mid at a push) term at least. More than that, who knows. Don't want to think too much about it.. scary stuff.

Well, he didn't say he didn't want to move back. But there's no plan yet. If we made a bid, who knows.

QUOTE(maxizanc @ Feb 18 2009, 05:33 PM) I think we should have had enough praise from everyone. I am slightly worry with all of the compliment from the rival player, manager and football legends to our player, it is still early at this point even though they deserved to be praised. We are playing good lately, although there's more improvement needed attacking wise. We don't look like losing, and we don't concede ATM. We do have a ridiculous squad. Quality 1st team, quality bench, and those that don't get on the bench are quality too! We can practically say we don't need to buy anyone else, even for a few years. But that doesn't mean we will win everything this season. But we should challenge for everyone of them if we play like we know we can. FA Cup still lots of hurdles, same with CL.. which is the hardest to win, and not to mention Mourinho next. In the league we look good as of now. I'm expecting better performance from the team now Roo is back. |

Whoa.. Air Asia? Nice. But shouldn't he keep quiet about it?
Those quotes about Scholes are great! It's nice seeing that a lot of the players/those in the footballing world, great ones too most of them, seem to rate Scholes highly. Not many players get those recognitions even if they are great players themselves. Hope he somehow regain his form soon. Added on February 19, 2009, 3:21 amleongtat: Look at the match thread on redcafe.net Usually they post them 45 mins before the game or so. Best lineup we could put up I guess. But where the hell is Gary and Wes? This post has been edited by Wan: Feb 19 2009, 03:21 AM |

Scholes made it too easy. His passing is something else. He plays an important part in our attacking play, making it a great one when he's on his game. Started very little so far this season. Hope he plays a bigger role in the coming months.

QUOTE(Makakeke @ Feb 19 2009, 04:56 AM) fergie is making the best out of the veterans like Scholes and Giggs. they can't be playing a full 90 mins eery week. I suspect Scholes will be be subbed off halfway 2nd half. They can't but still Scholes should have played a bigger part since he came back from injury. Had one or two really good games since he came back, but average/poor games in the others though. Maybe that's why. Subbed 2nd half? Not so sure about that. Won't play against Blackburn, but will be penciled in for Inter unless SAF have another surprise like he did against Chelsea. |

The 1st team went about their job as usual. But our reserves won 4-5 after trailing by 3 goals(4-1 start of 2nd half?). Welbeck 2, Macheda 2(sent off when it was 4-4), and Martin 1. Ole have done well teaching the art of comeback wins.
Welbeck, Macheda, Petrucci>Manucho. This post has been edited by Wan: Feb 19 2009, 06:21 AM |

Ronaldo had a almost similar 06/07 season...then during the 07/08, he just blew everyone away...So I'm harbouring the same goes to Berba I want 25 goals, 25 assists. Cant even watch the replays due to early morning exam...deymm, first time this season Our reserves last night. Won 5-4 against Wigan. |

QUOTE(dEviLs @ Feb 20 2009, 03:17 PM) ALEX FERGUSON dumped teen ace Danny Welbeck into the reserves for being too cocky. What a load of bullshit. Guess they have nothing better to write about us currently. The same goes for the suppose SAF fury over Nani's celebration. Yet he still does it everytime he scores. The Manchester United boss was incensed by the striker’s Eric Cantona-style goal celebration in Sunday’s FA Cup win over Derby. And instead of picking him for Wednesday’s clash with Fulham, Fergie decided to knock the 18-year-old down a peg or two by dropping him to the stiffs for their trip to Wigan. A United source revealed: “Alex was very angry about the way Welbeck celebrated his goal at Derby. He felt there was a touch of arrogance about it. “Danny is just a kid and Alex does not like the thought of him getting too big for his boots. “That is a lesson plenty of players have learned over the years at Old Trafford.” Welbeck is rated as a star of the future by Fergie. He came off the bench against Derby to complete the scoring in United’s 4-1 win with a brilliant first-time curling shot into the far corner. That led to his big-headed celebration, with his chest puffed out, reminiscent of French United legend Cantona. At least he did not sulk at being forced to play for the reserves. He scored twice against the Latics’ second team as United came from 4-1 down to win 5-4. That positive reaction may well earn him a recall to the first-team squad when United take on Blackburn tomorrow. http://www.thesun.co.uk/sol/homepage/sport...icle2255531.ece |

Tevez? Good luck to him. We'll miss a quality 3rd striker for sure, but we can get replacement in. It's ok either way for me whether he stays or not.

All those won't matter if we don't end up winning at least one or two of the big ones. But we are looking good atm. Inter will be a good test whether we have what it takes in Europe.

Boss: I didn't drop Danny
QUOTE Sir Alex has rubbished claims 18-year-old striker Danny Welbeck was relegated to the Reserves for displaying too much arrogance when celebrating his FA Cup goal at Derby County. What's more, the boss says United fans can expect to see the promising striker at Wembley next weekend. Welbeck curled in United’s fourth during the Reds’ 4-1 win at Pride Park last weekend before standing, chest puffed out, in front of United’s travelling support. http://www.manutd.com/default.sps?pagegid=...&newsid=6627579Three days later, the Longsight-born lad found himself playing for Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s second-string at Wigan, where he scored twice as the Reds roared back from 4-1 down to win 5-4. “One newspaper [The Sun] said Danny was disciplined for his goal celebration at Derby,” Sir Alex told MUTV. “That’s absolute nonsense.” Indeed, it would have been more surprising had Welbeck been involved in Sir Alex’s plans on Wednesday night. Dimitar Berbatov and Carlos Tevez were both due games after being rested at Pride Park, while Wayne Rooney returned from injury to sit on the bench. With that in mind, it made perfect sense to give Welbeck a run-out in the Reserves. “Danny needed football,” the boss said. “He came on against Derby and now he’s got a full game against Wigan's Reserves, where he scored two goals. He’ll be available for the Carling Cup final.” That boy is quality! This post has been edited by Wan: Feb 21 2009, 08:57 AM |

Giggs, Gary, Scholes..
Brown Fletcher, O'Shea Welbeck, Evans.. (Gibson?) along with the twins(hopefully they'll stay for the majority of their career here) Then we have Macheda, Petrucci, Ravel Morrison, and the others who hopefully would make it. Would give the team a bit of identity mixing up with the other imports. |
