Berba: It's not over yet

QUOTE
United may have a healthy advantage at the top of the table, but Dimitar Berbatov insists the champions cannot afford to become complacent.

The Bulgarian scored his 12th goal of the season in Wednesday's 3-0 victory over Fulham, which took the Reds five points clear of second-placed Liverpool.

Berbatov told MUTV: "This win was very important to us, that’s what the boss told us before the game. We maybe should have scored two or three more but in the end everybody was happy.

"We are pleased that we won and are now five points clear, but we have many games to play and it’s not the end of the title race."

Paul Scholes opened the scoring against the Cottagers with a sweetly-struck volley from the edge of the box, a strike which Berbatov could only admire.

"I don’t think there is anybody else in the world like Paul Scholes," the striker added. "He is the only person who can shoot with that accuracy.

"His passing and the way he changes games is brilliant. Every manager would be happy to have him but it’s our luck that he plays for us."

No use I guess, SAF will definitely make major changes to the team. We will see a different Midfield & Berba will be rested.

Scoreline or scorer? If scoreline then its because we have A LOT of 1-0s! laugh.gif

As for scorers, 16 different scorers in all competitions is not too bad IMO biggrin.gif

Scholes's was a great one. Perfect volley, its a vicious strike and well, the keeper can do better with it though. The Berba and Rooney goal were tap in so the build up play is great, especially Berba's goal...
*
That 2nd goal was build from 23 passes... excellent build up... thumbup.gif

But the 1st goal was mother of all goals last nite... rclxms.gif

Is Berba the next Ronaldo, statistical wise? Ronaldo had a almost similar 06/07 season...then during the 07/08, he just blew everyone away...So I'm harbouring the same goes to Berba brows.gif

Cant even watch the replays due to early morning exam...deymm, first time this season smile.gif

blackburn got some decent strikers. roberts, mccarthy, diouf, santacruz. but other areas are poor. if they got good passers from midfield it will be a handful for vidic and rio.

I think SAF dont buy him so that he can be the next RvN obvioulsly...

Berba is Berba. And i doubt he can go 40 goals a season. Even 30 goals a season maybe a big ask. I'll settle for 15-20 goals + a few assist + some brilliance and magic from him.

Im glad with his form and the link up with other players... rclxms.gif

For the Berba doubters, here's my GIFt...
