i use to read those translated detective novels when i was a kid. "siri hadi", "siri salma", "5 sekawan", "siri tiga penyiasat" etc. my parents used those to keep us quiet. haha

I used t be a big fan of Ahadiah Akashah. His novels is really good but now im more to non fiction bok.I think Lydia Teh books is good. Such as "Honk! if you are Malaysian"

i enjoyed reading local books during school days. Especially classics by A.samad said and few more authors. I loved to read malay novels back in school. Some of which i can remember- Salina, Mira edora, 7 perhentian, zuriat, konserto terakhir, and many more (though i cant recall the titles)
