i personally thinks that LX3 is a good stepping stones before you go for DSLR...

i've bought marco filter and still no time to test it on LX3... it is suffer if take macro since need to go so near to get correct focus..
and telephoto lens..is on the way (pandabase product)...

me also waiting for the pandabase tube+ uv filter to reach my house... got any idea how long will it take?? my next target will be either macro or tele lens...

It's the magnification factor. The higher the number, the image scale will be larger. I don't really know how does it work in terms of math.

Anyone knows where to get black LX3 at price around 1.5++ k? I checked lowyat today and unable to find any black LX3 units. Btw, is the standard warranty by Panasonic 1 or 2 years? I've asked around where some says 1 some says 2.

Been following this thread for sometime. Got my lx3 at rm1699 at panasonic road show (lx3 black + 2x4gb sdhc class6 + nike bag + ori pouch + mini tripod + screen protector). A bit expensive than other shops prices imo but was desperate since alot of shops don't carry black lx3.

Where did you order from? I am planning to get an adapter as well and maybe a tele lens converter and a couple of hoya filters since I am going sarawak for work next month. Might wanna take some pics there. Fotokem need to order and wait for a month and I can't wait that long.

standard is 1 year.due to last chinese new year promotion,it come with 2 years.

wow? thats a nice one dude. two 4gb class 6 sdhc, nike bag, pouch, screen protector, mini tripod some more. worth buying lar.

pavilion's harvey norman selling same price, but only got pouch, tripod, one 4gb sdhc class 4. no screen protector.

Well, blame my negotiating skills.

They only give a similar package as harvey norman pavillion at first except it was a 16gb sdhc class 6 (also ori from panasonic) but at rm1799. Negotiated a bit then he lowered down and gave all those goodies as well. I stopped negotiating when he gave me the nike bag.

got it from ebay the seller from HK.

now that i know about the warranty, does anyone know where else i can look for black lx3 tomorrow? I am going to look for it again tomorrow, would appreciate if anyone knows before hand.

33mths warranty?
i bought my lx3 last mth
1yr plus extra 2nd year from panasonic but have to sign up online.. are we eligible for the 33mths warranty?

i guess the 33 months warranty is only for those who bought the cameras/camcoders during their road show because panasonic is celebrating 33rd anniversary....that's how the 33 months warranty appear

laichong, is the ebay seller fotobestbuy? I am a bit afraid with ebay. Had bad memories with my past purchase. So I am trying to be careful.

Uzumaki, does the macro lens vignet at any point of zoom?

Saw a black unit at sunway pyramid harvey norman last 2 weeks when I was hunting for one as well. Iirc rm1799 for ori pouch, panasonic 16gb (not too sure class what) sdhc, and tripod. Able to negotiate to rm1688 but with 4gb sdhc and others same accessories.
