QUOTE(laichong @ Jul 6 2009, 11:55 PM) i nvr trust transcend, their Class 6 4GB is selling half of the price of Sandisk Class 4 4GB. i rather spend a little bit more to get something more realiable e.g Sandisk. i guessed u need to send back to the shop and exchange for a new 1. May I know what is not good about Transcend? Added on July 7, 2009, 12:02 amQUOTE(nomoredfox @ Jul 6 2009, 11:26 PM) i m using 16GB Kingston Class 4 SDHC never happen to me b4 like ur case Guess should be card problem. Or could it incompatible with LX3? Any LX3 user here using Transcend SDHC? As advised by laichong, I will send the card back for claiming. Dunno if they provide 1 to 1 swap since I just bought it few days ago. This post has been edited by Shinichi: Jul 7 2009, 12:02 AM

QUOTE(sowhon @ Jul 7 2009, 09:41 AM) oh sorry, forgot to mention the brand earlier.. its Transcend.. How long you've been using it? I so far also never face any issue with memory card until this latest purchase. QUOTE(laichong @ Jul 7 2009, 10:16 AM) im not sure how bad/not good about Transcend, but i just judge from their price, Sandisk 4GB Class 6 is selling RM150+ while Transcend is just around RM60+.... at least Sandisk is a more reliable company also. I see. Thanks bro. Hope they can exchange new one for me. Finger crossed...

QUOTE(nomoredfox @ Jul 10 2009, 12:33 AM) under Ai mode ...u cant set anythg ( exposure or ISO ) under P mode , u can let it do automatically , or semi-manual ( u can still play wif ISO , exposure etc etc ) fully auto in P mode VS Ai.......shud be the same i guess ( i dun see any diff ).....unless u say auto select scn(scene) in Ai Hmmm scene selection is not really important for me. I still prefer to take quick snap than playing around with settings during trips Thanks bro for your feedback ya, it helped me to decide which mode to use now.

Yes iA mode is not really good. But I believe P mode is at least a bit better tha iA mode.

Hi all, may I know is it easy to remove Ricoh LC-1 from LX3? Will it wears out the thread after prolonged plug-in and removal or LC-1? Thanks

QUOTE(reader @ Aug 25 2009, 02:35 PM) I am thinking of getting a LC-1 for my camera too. But worried Coz will need to take it off very often for my Lens adaptor for the Tele/Wide lens. There r some ingenious guys out there who did the mod with the "ring" on, hence no worries about damaging the thread: http://forums.dpreview.com/forums/read.asp...essage=30412354http://www.flickr.com/groups/843626@N22/di...57617121359649/http://www.dchome.net/viewthread.php?tid=608518&extra=page=1 (in Mandarin) http://www.flickr.com/photos/12396591@N06/...57616182660321/I prefer the one that snaps on the ring, not glued on. But probably not that easy to mod. Will get one soon and get my hands dirty. Hope I can make it right the first time or else it will be $$ experiment Hmmm seems complicated to mod... any mistake then bye bye to LC-1... Any LC-1 user here can comment if long term install & removal of LC-1 will damage the threads? Also is it easy to remove LC-1 from LX3? I installed mine... but haven not figure how to take it out yet Is it just force "pull" it out? Ouch!

QUOTE(laichong @ Aug 26 2009, 01:26 AM) last sunday i'd met with NetWorth and he showed me his slightly modded LC-1. what he do is just trim abit on the inner side of LC-1, and its more easier to attach and detach. i'd ask him b4, will it damage the thread. he just told me, the LX3 casing is made of aluminum and LC-1 is just plastic, which 1 is harder? Thanks Laichong, you mean NetWorth trim the inner "catch" that lock on LX3's thread? Seems logical too. I don't know LX3's thread was made of aluminum. I thought it was plastic

Hi all, how do you keep your LX3 when not in use? I keep mine in LX3 factory box and put the whole box inside my cloth closet (dried cloths of course). Is this okay?

For me during trip i put my lx3 in included nylon case then hang both cam and case together. But for occasional outings, I'll put it in my lower side pocket while wearing cargo pant.
