QUOTE(luminescence69 @ Nov 24 2009, 12:48 AM) guys, what screen protector do u use for your N79. So far, I've tried 3 different types of screen protectors and they all fall off after a week or two. I just changed mine after 9 months of usage...its been 45 days now....works great...bought it from normal phone accessories shop with cheapo price was just wondering if there is a special type of screen protector for our phone. |

QUOTE(luminescence69 @ Nov 16 2009, 10:20 AM) i usually just receive a few calls and surf the net for 30 minutes a day. yet, by the end of the day, my battery will be left with 1 bar. I'm beginning to suspect that the salesman might have switched my battery to a imitation model. Try changing your battery...if its under warranty you could claim for it. |

QUOTE(samsoong @ Jan 5 2010, 01:47 AM) Hey people... I'm choosing based on these 2... N79 & N85 If you like slide, choose N85, otherwise its N79 Cause i'm more of a classic phone guy, or Nokia calls it the monoblock. But somehow i find n85 nice, best design i would say among N series, quite good review too. But i've never heard anything about n79 so far. So what do you guys recommend? what are the difference between these 2 cause their specs looks the same, its just that n85 can support higher memory.. Both cell's memory can be upgraded...thuhs far heard users had gone to 32Gb Added on January 8, 2010, 12:19 am QUOTE(smokey @ Dec 28 2009, 09:53 AM) can but will be quite dark... Not necessary the sports mode does well, I have taken many pictures while in the car, train and bus!n79 camera has sports mode as well, but since it is using led flash only, the image will be quite dark... QUOTE(Clareen @ Feb 25 2010, 11:51 AM) LYN have few forummer they offer repair LCD service in cheap price maybe you can try to ask they quote you the price for repair LCD. Thats a good suggestion...start first with the external LCD quote, and then get a quote from Nokia as well. If its not much of a difference then go with Nokia else just do it external. Good Luck. What happened? Did you drop or some mishaps? |

It was in my pocket and when I took it out to read/reply an sms, it was all blank, with nothing but the keypad lighted, sound still worked. Already replaced the LCD at Nokia Care 1 Utama. Cost me RM189. >> |

QUOTE(samsoong @ Feb 28 2010, 12:47 PM) i've read quite a of opinions on n79, apparently n79 lags shit.. my friend's mom just bought a new set recently & she's thinking selling it off already because of this lagging & hanging problem.. I dont see any lagging on my phone at all!, unless I have more than one application running, such as GPS, music, and/or games.why ah? Hmm could it be due to your external memory? whats the size you have and its transfer rate? |

QUOTE(samsoong @ Mar 6 2010, 05:00 PM) but i have heard quite a few comments that n79 lags.. Then bring to the shop and check it out...I would suggest.not sure with the external memory, it's a lady user.. i dont think all these memory card stuff concerns her, which means its oem.. I have 5 friends using as mine, and none of ours lags. 4 AP set and 2 from ori. |

QUOTE(neo_sharky @ Mar 23 2010, 07:33 AM) for me, as for now, it is worth to buy. You could use I-GPS is you dont want to pay! what i dont like? - keypad a bit hard to press, since there are no clevage between key 1, 2 and 3, afraid it will crack in the middle - using A-gps will eat your money a bit Keys, you need to get used to it, unless one has big fingers. Finger nail might be helpful! |

As for the camera, the burst mode and sports do take pretty good pictures. Its only at low lights especially night shots (indoor) are not that good.

QUOTE(HEERO @ Mar 26 2010, 01:21 AM) Settings > Positioning > Positioning Methods > Integrated GPS (only enable this and disable others so that it's free to use) Thanks Heero for the feedback.....but if you want faster connection to GPS, then set AGPS< as soon as you get connected, just disable AGS, and IGPS would continue to serve |
