This beast is insane!
when hiking the other day and used the GPS to guide me to the starting point but forgot to turn off the GPS while hiking so it was on the whole time from 7am till 1pm, and I needed it to lead me to another location which took me another 2 hours with the GPS yet i still have more then half bar on my battery.

Haha...yea, N79 really has longer duration with good performance battery.

is it possible to use the flash as a torchlight ?
what application can i download to make it switch on off ?

Yes, it's possible to use flash as torchlight but u will need to have start video recording.
Erm...last time still don have any apps to simply turn flash on but dunno izzit now still same o not.

Does anyone know izzit any apps can silent the camera sound?

BrightLight is the software to use the flash as torch light...google it...

hey guyz, potential buyer here. Would like to know the phone serves well for people daily life especially engineer who are making frequent call, taking pic on site, dealing with client through email, tracking location with GPS help etc.

one more important question, is the phone lag compared to N95?

this phone has good battery life...can use gps for whole day on battery...can snap nice pictures...

phone is not very lag nor ultra fast...speed is like most of the symbian phones lo...

guys i need help. ive just bought my n79 two days back and i realise that my screen display is keep moving whenever i turn my hp on the other way or so on. how can i switch it off?its kinda irritating esp when i am typing sms. i hope u guys can help me.

another thing i wanna know is the 'MAPS' application in the menu is from Garmin isnt it?

if im not mistaken u must go to n-gage game and then click on my store from there u can install game but u must pay for it. like my case the game has been ready install in my hp when i purchase it.
